NOT dropping your hand when you throw a punch.
Looking at the replay you can see he drops his right hand when he throws the hook - which is why he got caught and KTFO. When Floyd throws it at the same time his right hand is by his face (although hes moving out of the way regardless)
that was probably obvious to most of you but I just find it interesting that a veteran like Hatton made the most basic mistake.

Even with his hand up he still would of got clocked. Floyd hit him with an inside compact hook.

he hit him on the right side of his chin - if hatton had his glove on his cheek bone wouldntve the lower part of the glove blocked it?

maybe. but it was more of a uppercut-hook mix, so it wasnt coming in at the same angle as the hook, as it caught him in a different area of the jawline, but it may have been blocked slightly if his hand was up, nonethless, he woulda been KOd later that round, or the round after (in which case i woulda won double the money from my boy... ****ING MAYWEATHER KOing him early lol :pat: )

look you can have your hand down every time you want, the problem is that hatton has 1/5 less arm reach than floyd, so he had to come into, jjumping or throwing himself, and if you are coming and you get a shot like that, get sure you are gonna finish like he did.

The way Hatton fights is to keep the opponents on the back foot by throwing punches on his way in. The PBF's of this world are wise to this and know how to counter, but most will just defend, thats why it works. It may look like the most basic of mistakes, but hes won 43 fights using that tactic, so if anything this is proof that whatever works for you, right or wrong, is the best idea.
