View Full Version : Oh...my ****ing god...you HAVE to see this. Magic Man 05-03-2003, 03:40 AM http://www.tbaytel.net/scaryf/temp/TheLastHope.wmv I watched this 3 times in a row and laughed my ****ing guts out every time. zioxoiz 05-03-2003, 04:17 AM gman likes star wars? realkaps 05-03-2003, 04:18 AM I laughed, not as funny as I thought it was gonna be but still funny...... The Jake 05-03-2003, 09:56 AM You wanna see something seriously funny check this http://www.ifilm.com/filmdetail?ifilmid=489408 American Pie meets Episode I. - The Jake The Jake 05-03-2003, 10:13 AM Infact, ifilm.com has a whole showcase dedicated to Star Wars spoofs -- both serious and hillarious. It's a good showcase of independant film making. http://www.ifilm.com/showcollection?listidx=0&collid=181 Another good one - Troops, a parody of 'Cops'. Follows a bunch of storm troopers like they're cops around Tatooine, serving their own brand of justice... http://www.theforce.net/theater/shortfilms/troops/ It's pretty damn good. Another one, and my pet favorite, TIE-Tanic (imagine the Imperial army attacking the Titanic... snippets of Star Wars and the Spielburg film blended into a ****ing hysterical spoof). The original page for this appears to have disappeared but there's enough mirror sites on the net for this film. Here's one link I found for it: http://www.starwars-universe.com/fanfilms/detail_fanfilm.asp?film_id=20 That said, these films range from 25mb to 45+mb. Not modem friendly FYI. But worth the wait for sure, if you appreciate the humor. - The Jake Magic Man 05-03-2003, 10:39 AM I've seen troops - I personally thought that was one ****ing well made spoof. The Jake 05-03-2003, 10:55 AM If you liked that, check out TieTanic. You won't be disappointed. I nearly cried throughout that film. Particularly as you see Wicket running across the deck as Titanic is sinking, screaming as he runs through the flames... :) I just downloaded one off theforce.net called 'The Art Of The Saber'. It was a practise in amateur video/digital editing and giving lightsaber duels a more 'Oriental' flavor with the fight choreography and I really liked it. Very well done for an amateur production. - The Jake Magic Man 05-03-2003, 11:19 AM ...George should really learn off these people. Then we wont have ****ing attrocities like Jar Jar ******. The Jake 05-03-2003, 11:21 AM Hahahaha... I reckon! Hey lemme know if you can get Matrix Jedi to work. I just spent 10min downloading the ****ing 45mb clip and it says ****ing Quicktime doesn't recognise the format. My ****ing arse it doesn't - I got Quicktime 6.1 and the makes said it only requires Quicktime 3.0 or greater. Of course going to the Apple website in quest of an earlier version is an exercise in futility.... - The Jake Magic Man 05-03-2003, 11:31 AM hmm, maybe the file extension is wrong or something, try playing it in Win Media Player. The Jake 05-03-2003, 11:39 AM Tried in Media Player, Real Player and Quicktime. I just put it down to Apple not being able to make a goodamn thing right for PCs... - The Jake Magic Man 05-03-2003, 12:56 PM Quicktime = suckiest format EVER. The Jake 05-03-2003, 01:02 PM Real Media I find the most invasive however. No other program I've ever installed was so arrogant in presuming it is important enough to warrant it's own folder under the Control Panel. - The Jake CTA 05-03-2003, 01:14 PM The only thing less geeky than Star Wars is talking about Star Wars spoofs on the internet. LukeDothSucketh 05-03-2003, 01:17 PM The only thing "geeky-er" than that is people that use the word "geeky" CTA 05-03-2003, 01:22 PM 'geeky-er' is far geekier. LukeDothSucketh 05-03-2003, 01:27 PM Indeed, I suck. CTA 05-03-2003, 01:32 PM THAT'S RIGHT, *****! NOW **** OFF! |
