Whats going on with Paul Briggs. Is he fighting again, who when? Or is he retired? Everything i read on the internet seems circumspect.

Briggs is probably my top 2 favourite fighters of all time. Does anyone know whats happening?

I think he's done. He won't win a world title, he's getting old now and I think he's not as hungry judging by what he said a while back. He wasn't sure if he would fight again.

I feared this would happen. Man i wish he won the 2nd fight against Adamek. I had scored it a draw. I wish it went his way though, what a war it was.

Fantastic 2nd fight between the two! You only get one shot at the title and that 2nd fight was crucial for Briggs to win as everybody in Light Heavy division are looking the other way after those two wars. Weren't there allegations that Adamek was on the juice and connected to Polish Gangsters???

I love watching Briggs fight.
Not the most gifted fighter certainly, but he has a huge heart.
However I think his chance to be champion has passed him by.

I believe he was recently diagnosed with a medical condition (immune system I think but am unsure). He was going to retire as a result but it is treatable and he will be back. It doesn't help that he is signed to Don king who won't line up any fights for him. He is kind of stuck in limbo at the moment unfortunately.

So he was diagnosed with an immune system lol? Alarm bells must be ringing.

Are you talking about the permanently weak immune system?

I found the article in question, it was actually adrenal and nervous system issues. But he definitely has been sick and was considering retirement. The doctors have just recently diagnosed his condition and it is treatable.

Going by his last bout at Homebush on the Ndou/Rabah undercard, where he looked like absolute garbage and apologised to the crowd after the fight, I'd say his condition may have been a contributing factor back then.
