Lilian001 12-10-2007, 03:48 AM I think it depends on themselves Kayo 12-10-2007, 03:59 AM Everyone has different training techniques. I lift weights 4 days a week. Yay post # 3000!!!!!!!! Dye 12-10-2007, 05:05 AM I dont lift weights. Just do lots of Pushups, Chinups, Situps.... SpeedKillz 12-10-2007, 08:38 AM i lift once a week, sometimes twice a week if i'm feelin up to it. depends on how you feel and your intensity throught the week's workouts. kamicazze 12-10-2007, 10:01 AM buy a book weight lifring for boxing! gives you a rough idea! in season i do twice a week and 1- 5 days a week off season SpeedKillz 12-10-2007, 10:05 AM buy a book weight lifring for boxing! gives you a rough idea! in season i do twice a week and 1- 5 days a week off season season? there's no off season in boxing my man. and that book is totally awful by the way. dont follow those routines. and dont follow an on / off season. boxing is year round my friend...:boxing: TRANSWARP 12-10-2007, 10:08 AM Maybe he means off seasons as normal routine and on seasons as working towards a fight? nedcmk1 12-10-2007, 10:23 AM Some areas in Europe have an "amateur season", and gyms close for quite a bit of time for the off season, so training is to a minimum. In the US there is no season, we fight all year. I would look into getting a session with a trainer, and not one at Bally's or your standard health club. Look for a certified strength trainer who can tailor a basic power/speed lifting routine for you and teach you proper form and get you on your way. leff 12-10-2007, 10:28 AM season? there's no off season in boxing my man. and that book is totally awful by the way. dont follow those routines. and dont follow an on / off season. boxing is year round my friend...:boxing: we have seasons, and we train a bit different from on to offseason SpeedKillz 12-10-2007, 10:51 AM did not know there was on and off seasons in boxing. weird. but whatever then in that case i dono about what to do in on and off seasons i jus train year round and rest as needed...
