I used to only wear one when I trained stand up, but I recently witnessed an ufortunate grappling accident where some poor bastard took a sharp elbow to the nuts. So do you guys wear a cup when training grappling?

I don't use one, I feel more comfortable without one.

I wear a cup when grappling, gotta watch out an elbow to the boys really sucks
But if u wear a cup there are ways that skilled grapplers know how to use it against you

I don't and honestly didn't when I boxing or doing any stand up, Muay Thai included. My thoery is that if I get into a fight in a bar or what not, will I be wearing one? Doubtful, unless I am out ot impress the ladies with my bulge. May as well get use to the odd whack in the pills every now and then

I wear a steel thai cup. They are comfortable and dont feel like you are wearing a cup.

I use a cup and mouthpiece in every form of martial arts or contact sport...
In martial arts I wear a cup because an accident is in a small corner, like the accident you discribed...... also, if you make an armbar and it's not sunk in properly and you have **** around with the arm a bit it ain't good for your nutsack either.
I always wear my mouthpiece because I have one tooth that is not perfectly alligned with the others and it works like a ****ing razor, if I don't wear a mouthpiece I always cut my lip open.

In rugby I wear a cup simply because I hate the feeling of my nuts jumping all jolly happy around in my pants.
