If I punch you on the side of your cheek and if I hit you in the side of the cheek with a glove on which will hurt more?

It is just common sense that something being non-padded would hurt more then something padded.

The glove with hand wraps carries more weight. But a fist would be faster and harder.

Its not so simple. Gloves are used to not break your hand(ask Floyd). But of course its simplier to knock person out with a bare fist. But if you have a good punch you will likely injure your hand.That was my problem when I started to box. I could punch but I could not measure my strength in a street fight.( i was young and dumb).

Why? That makes no sense. Lighter gloves would mean more punch from Mayorga but also a heavier one from Trinidad.

Contrary to what many believe, boxing gloves are worn to protect the hands...not the head.

Getting hit with a glove seems to jar your brain far more, while
a bare-fist punch is more localized, & painful.

I'd rather get hit with a glove. I'd rather be just concussed, than concussed & busted open.

this will all depend on the style of landing, movement of the wrist, where one chooses to punch, etc.

so.. some would wreck more devastation wearing a glove and some without.
