have you tried a different usb port? also right click on My Computer and hit properties.....on the device manager tab..scroll down and make sure that it shows your usb printer and that windows has your USB controler installed.

Pull your arm back far and then throw your fist at the moniter while screaming "YOU ****ING PIECE OF **** MOTHER****ING **** SUCKING MACHINE!". Then Grab the Keyboard and smash it into the tower. That usually works for me......

uninstall your printer drivers first, unplug the printer from the computer, install the drivers with the printer unplugged from the computer, after it's done, it may tell you to reboot, if it does, do so. when your back up and running, plug the printer in at that time, it should auto detect everything and you should be set.
