I had driven up to see Jeremy, was coming back & was on the expressway in Indio when everything just disappeared, totally! I had been going 70 miles an hour, sun out, light wind, then bam, total nothing, dirt so thick the road, evererything, gone!

I felt my heart jump into my throat, remembered passing 3 big rigs, & about 20 cars, was afraid to put brakes on for fear of getting hit from behind, but I couldn't see the road, no lines, nothing!

Then a really strange thing happened..... the steering wheel jerked to the right, scared me so bad, I threw on the breaks, skidded to the side of the road. I guess I put my emergency blinkers on, but I don't remember doing it.

Then I heard sirens, they got closer, but I couldn't see them. Then a knock at my window, & a voice telling me thank god I put the flashers on. For a second as I was getting out of the car, the Hiway Patrol said something, I looked, & 6 inches in front of my car was a 4 or 5 car pile up!

My legs felt like rubber! Then he disappeared again, the dirt was so bad, I could taste salt, he was yelling at me to get back in the car & buckle up, I told him no way, what if the others decided to get off the road too?

Anyways, 1 hour later, the wind died down enuf so I could leave, found out they had shut the road right after I went thru, lucky me...... If I had not slammed on my breaks, I would have hit head on with the cars in the middle of the road, so I was lucky!

When I got home, everyone was looking at me with the weirdest expression, they wanted me to look in the mirror, when I did, I had dirt caked on me, my clothes, hair, even teeth!

The other cars had been together when it hit, no one was hurt seriously, but me coming at 70 miles an hour...The Hiway patrol officer told me if I hadn't stopped when I did.......

Bang reminds me and our fellow global mates of Jeremy, and when BAng won over Sudo tonight with that impressive third round volley of strikes and combo domination, his hand speed reminded us of Jeremy. Someone asked why Jeremy wasn't in UFC yet despite his better record, and I reasoned that Jeremy probably should rack up more wins against notable talent before approaching it, and probably knows that.

Your son is a great fighter. We talk about him. Tanner told me I should go up and train with him one of these days but I've never really talked to Jeremy about it. I'd like to do that sometime.

Jake, I live in Imperial Valley, to where Jeremy lives is about a 5 hour trip with no traffic, 126' during the summer..... if I had died & gone to hell, I'd be used to the heat......... :) Jeremy lives in Port Hueneme, but works in Camarillo. I love to go there & watch Team Freedom train. If you get nose bleeds easy- drink more milk. :)

Thanks Momita -- I don't know the geography of LA all that well yet. But I've been around enough to see enough desert to imagine what you're talking about.

I drink ****loads of milk with all my protein shakes but it doesn't work :( Any more and I've be having over half a galon a day...

Oh well, I guess I should stop picking my nose first eh? :) Hopefully I'll adapt to it and get over it.

In all seriousness though, that was a freaky close call you had there. I hope I don't encounter anything like that anytime soon. LA freeways are bad enough as it is with all the potholes in the road and high speeds...
