I dont think my knees could take it. Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 06:28 AM "They should base the new actionman doll on Tuggers. He pulls fit women, bones them and shares it with us all here at BS. He then beats up crackheads who try to rob him!! IS THERE ANYTHING TUGGERS CANT DO?!?" We will find out in april, because this is going to be HARD. I'll do it though. I have no doubt in my mind. "A winner never quits, a quitter never wins" D_Hook 11-30-2007, 06:30 AM I want to do it one day, don't know about all the training and then actually doing it. I prefer to sit on my arse and donate. But good luck though Tuggers azza 11-30-2007, 06:33 AM you'll be in the paper next week " mancunian tugs his way to the end in marathon struggle " Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 06:34 AM I want to do it one day, don't know about all the training and then actually doing it. I prefer to sit on my arse and donate. But good luck though Tuggers The training will be pretty easy, aslong as you start early enough. Im only focusing on getting round. I'll hopefully do it in around 3:20ish if all goes to plan. We'll just have to see. I've found a pretty good site with traning programs so I'll just see how it goes. http://www.runnersworld.ltd.uk/marathon.htm Don PWNleone 11-30-2007, 07:14 AM I could have done it when I was younger but now I'd have to seriously train for 6 months at least. Me and the missus have talked about it and might do it next year. But I've always fancied swimming the english channel, the swimming is not the problem though it's the cold and you need a certain amount of body fat to do that. I really admired David Walliams when he swum that fare play to him. Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 07:24 AM I could have done it when I was younger but now I'd have to seriously train for 6 months at least. D_Hook 11-30-2007, 08:08 AM you'll need a fella to follow you in a boat too... and to rub him down with a layer of fat, or something like that I read Don PWNleone 11-30-2007, 08:12 AM you'll need a fella to follow you in a boat too... ****ing right. I've just had a great idea I wonder if it's ever been done underwater. I scuba dive and obviously I would have to have a boat follow and only dive 5-10 metres deep so that I could swap tanks underwater but it's possible. I could go in the guiness book of world records. Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 08:35 AM Don't quote me on this but without looking it up about 20miles I think I've just looked and it's 21 miles. **** me. It would kill me to swim that far fasman 11-30-2007, 11:14 AM good luck to ya fella..... Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 11:16 AM good luck to ya fella..... Cheers dude MickyHatton 11-30-2007, 11:28 AM Any of you fockers doing it?? If so I'll see you there  Good luck mate, I've done it twice. I found the stretch between the Cutty Sark and the Bridge the hardest, after that I kind of just drifted along. porlie 11-30-2007, 11:30 AM Any of you fockers doing it?? If so I'll see you there  I'm not doing it mate but good luck to you doing it, good on ya. Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 11:31 AM Good luck mate, I've done it twice. I found the stretch between the Cutty Sark and the Bridge the hardest, after that I kind of just drifted along. I've heard alot about "the wall" but I've never ran far enough to actually experience it yet. it doesn't sound nice though. MickyHatton 11-30-2007, 11:45 AM I've heard alot about "the wall" but I've never ran far enough to actually experience it yet. it doesn't sound nice though. My advice is to follow a pace that is comfortable for you mate and don't worry about the time. You will get periods were you feel ****ed but just slow a bit and wait for the second/third/fourth wind to come. If you enjoy it then do it again and then try to push the time. The good thing about the London Marathon is that there is plenty going on around you so the time goes quick. There are far worse ones to run, trust me. Enjoy it pal! Since when did they stick a wall up, where is it and how high is it and can you use a rope or not. Tuggers1986 11-30-2007, 12:25 PM Since when did they stick a wall up, where is it and how high is it and can you use a rope or not. Hahahaha. tell me you're kidding. Please Carbohydrates that a person eats are converted by the liver and muscles into glycogen for storage. Glycogen burns quickly to provide quick energy. Runners can store about 8 MJ or 2,000 kcal worth of glycogen in their bodies, enough for about 30 km or 18-20 miles of running. Many runners report that running becomes noticeably more difficult at that point. When glycogen runs low, the body must then burn stored fat for energy, which does not burn as readily. When this happens, the runner will experience dramatic fatigue. This phenomenon is called "hitting the wall". Don PWNleone 11-30-2007, 12:35 PM Hahahaha. tell me you're kidding. Please Of course you should know that by now. At least you haven't got shitty like a few people today. Some people (not you) round here have not got a sense of humour. He stated to all the non brits who she was and what happened to her and I was out of order to use her name like that. He needs to lighten up. There have been so many sick jokes about her said by most of us but at the end of the day that's all they are and none of us wish any harm on her and all want her back safe and sound.
