you get lots of coffee

the messican restaurant is right down the street

i don't have a boss but there's a few ****ers here who try poppin lip and acting bossy so it's cute watching them humor themselves.

you learn how to dance in worse-case scenario and become quite calloused to it.

our receptionist kicks ass and lets me shadow box with her while she's on the phone

i have a dartboard in my office

watching grown adults who are "professional" act like whiney ****ing children on a daily basis is pretty damn entertaining

i have mastered the art of self-taught high-speed copier dejammification!!

the only job that has taught me hands-on the most important lesson in life:
everybody on this planet is a complete ****ing moron and will do nothing but try to drag you down, whether they realize it or not. so your job is to babysit everyone because SOMEBODY has to play daddy.

you either don't accept it and get nowhere

or

you accept it, conform, and stand in defeat

or

you accept it, face reality, deal with reality like a man, and take control.

**** that... I'd rather get up and leave. Particularly if I'm in a job environment I ****ing hate and have no control over.

It's funny how you get into jobs with companies and you eventually find yourself pasted into a corner with no where to move up and the only way you can is if you leave the company, even if you really don't want to. It's like they shoot themselves in the foot for it.

Not necessarily. But being in a situation I hate, I would rather fight to change it than just sit there and accept it.

Strangely enough, SeldomTap and I were having this conversation last week. He told me that reaching this stage of acceptance was like reaching some sort of personal epiphany when you realise that you can't control everything.

It's not that I don't accept I can't control everything, but I do accept I can control me and my reaction to events around me. If I'm a situation that's that bad I cause I just can't accept that there's nothing I can do to change it. Even if that means removing me from that situation as opposed to trying to turn the situation around.

Does that make sense?

jake, we've both said it before....
you need to be your own boss.

a lot of people ***** about working for others but still don't carry the maturity to work for themselves.
i think you can do it.
plus, when things go wrong, you can only blame yourself- therefore you learn from your mistakes and consistently improve. as long as you have the maturity to realize that then you have what it takes to succeed....it's just a matter of time on WHEN you'll succeed.

quit wasting your time. get the **** out there and make something for yourself bro.
