I am 21 minutes from freedom and a 3 day weekend. ANZAC day here tomorrw, which is kinda like veterans day in the US so no work for me...it doesn't get any better than this.

All I need now is a big juicy steak and a head job and I would be happy as larry

...I have a 3 day weekend every week...and I also had a two day weekend in between uni days. So in actuality, my weekend is 5 days a week.

If you're at uni, then it's assumed you don't know what work is.

Sorry.

It's true though. I was working 4 days a week (1 day shy of full time) whilst doing fulltime uni and I've had employers say I wasn't as good as other people, simply because of that one day. Even though I had more experience, worked harder and helped more people in doing my job. Some employers really do take a dim view of what you do if you work part time. It's like they think you don't take your job seriously enough to do it full time.

some employers are stupid - its a wonder how some of them stay alive, while other owners who look after their workers go down in flames.

I can't remember the exact theory, but Seldom and I pondered this one extensively. He came up with this beautiful theory (wish I could remember it exactly - could trawl thru the email but I can't be ****ed).

Basically the theory came down to the fact if you see this happen, then you can probably accept the fact that senior management are also stupid, and from that - it infers they perceive looking after the employees does NOT fit in with the best interests of the company. They find that the two goals are mutually exclusive.

Which is probably a sure sign you should get the **** out.
