Boxers dont have to run in the mornings. rick yhatons trainer says it complete crap ''theres some bull**** tale that goes about saying boxers have to run in the mornings, which isnt true, a boxer need more rest than others, if your body wants to rest let it rest''

which is true u shudnt have to force urslef awake just to run ur body wants to sleep you shud wake up naturally fit for training. i may be totallt rong so tell me wht u think.

it doesn't matter what time you run.

but mentally some people think its good for discipline - gives some fighters a sense of sacrifice.

I like it. It wakes you up and seems to give you more energy for the rest of the day.

When I did run in the morning I was more lively when going to work that morning. I actually felt like working too.

I know that if I don't run in the morning, I REAAALY won't want to do it later on in the day. So, I try to do it in the morning on the days I don't work. Also, waking up early gives me a chance to enjoy the whole day. I dislike not getting out and about before 8 am.

Watch delahoya/mayweather 24/7. You would of learned this a long time ago. floyd runs at 1 in the morning or whenever he feels like it. It doesnt matter when you run. But getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning is for discipline only. Plus you get more out of the day and you learn to go to bed a little sooner so you dont stay out so late.

Whether its in the a.m. or p.m. i just hate running. it's the most boring excercise ever, but probably the most effective fatburning cardio out there. there's just something about running that vastly improves stamina compared to other cardio workouts. Running is definitely a must!

These days I prefer running in the morning. I like running trails and nothing can beat that morning air.

Running at 5 in the morning out here is great.

I get to not have any traffic, even the animals arent awake so its dead silence. Running threw the university, past the river its awesome.

I do like running a little bit later sometimes tho, because thats when all the girls are getting to school, and see me running.

I'll push myself that much harder if a woman is watching anyway.

5:00 is still better tho, because you need to go to work too...

Here in Fl if you don't have it done by 12 you will not be able to go out again until much later in the evening...just too damn hot..guess it also depends where you live.

Early morning runs are an old trainers trick. Boxers are notorious party-animals. A man can't party all night then do an early morning run, so he is forced to make a choice. It is one way trainers know whether they will be wasting their time (and possibly money) on some kid.
