and realized why we see some terrible fighters and fights in the UFC main event. It is because they do not show the undercard on the PPV so they need to expose some of their fighters. If they gave us a full product we might like it better, but they need some time to advertise some upcoming movies.

Its pretty lame if you have a PPV with 4 televised fights that are all 3 rounds each, thats like boxing PPV with all 5 round fights. I think the UFC should make every main event 5 rounds and No.1 contender fights 5 rounds, sometimes the 3 round fights are barely getting good then its over.

You're right, if it is a main event, it should be a five round five minute fight. That would eliminate all of these decisions, draws, and potential rematches. Pride was great. They had a 10 minute first round because they wanted fighters to fight and not bull**** around. I can count the number of times I have seen fighters in the UFC look up at the clock, or escaped a submission because the horn sounds. We can only dream my friend.

Personally i think there should be a UFC title on the line every time they put a show on.

very good idea. but at the same time, so so hard to do

seriously take UFC 78 ... what title could have been on the line?

the Lightweight champion is under a steroid controversy

the Welterweight champion is fighting in December (UFC 79)

and the Middleweight champion already fought at UFC 73 .. and UFC 77. so no way Anderson Silva would fight at UFC 78

the Light Heavyweight Champ is healing up his injuries

and the Heavyweight Champion messed up his shoulder last time out, plus he quit the company. I am not even sure if the UFC has decided how there gonna sort out who will be its next Heavyweight champ.

in theory sure a title on the line every single show is very smart .... but so hard to do, especially considering injuries and the fact that they do a PPV every month.

I would settle for the Main Event being 5 rounds however.

because even a sub par Main Event match up such as Liddell vs Jardine or even Evans vs Bisping (in both cases zero titles are at stake) BUT both would look a bit more appealing as a 5 round fight.

If their isnt a title on the line, It shouldent be PPV. They have a sweet deal with ****e, PPV should be the best of the best, not best of the rest.

Some good points there mate, but maybe there are too many UFC shows in the year.

I think a show should be built up and organised around a title defence, if a champ drops out late on fair enough.Put in a good replacement. **** happens.

If the champs only had 2 fights a year there would still be 10 UFC events.

Fights like Evans v Bisping, Franklin v Okami, Gonzaga v Crocop and Liddell v Jardine should just be good undercard matchups.

I like the idea of the main event being a 5 round fight tho.
