There is no band in history that had extended success and is as weak, man by man, as The Doors. Just very amateurish players that had the good fortune to find Morrison. Ray Manzerik is espacially bad on keyboards.
The Beastie Boys will dazzle no real musicians either but I don't think they presume to be great players ...just talented rappers and lyricists.

I thought One Hot minute was their last good album. The Melvins Are bad ass. Nirvana's my favorite band, then the Melvins.

Peppers best Album by far was Blood Sugar Sex Magic. I had to vote for the Doors. Their music has lasted for generations. I think the best beastie boys album was pauls boutique, The stuff they have put out lately IMO isnt that good. Nirvana was a pretty good band but they were sooo overplayed that I got sick of em in a hurry.

I totally understand that, Every cd of theirs has like a song to a handful of songs that are pretty good. Never has a whole cd been spectacular...Hell somehow they even managed to **** up their Greatest Hits cd.....

Yoko, I was never a big Crue fan but I just finished reading their biography book "The Dirt". Man, what a great book. If you ever wanted to know about the behind the scenes **** that went on, this is the book to read. Those guys did all kinds of crazy ****. Have you heard of this book?
