**** tunes ups, it's now or never for Briggs, he isn't getting any younger and needs a shot like this. If he was younger, I'd say have a tune up, but he's over 30 now.

I like briggs, the guy has a go.

I like him too - he'll fight anyone anywhere.
In fact he's always been a favourite of mine.

i like briggs.. but christ he's been inactive.. id also consider him a confidence fighter.. and he hasnt had a confidence boosting fight in a while has he.. pros and cons to both.

i like briggs, but he doesn't win this fight.

he loses from lack of activity, in the ring..he doesn't throw enough punches, and against a fighter like chris woods..that will be the difference.

fenech said it: he has to get busier in the ring .

Fenech is right.
He had Adamek in serious trouble in their first fight on more than one occasion but didn't go in for the kill. That should have been his world title.

i think its just his limitations...he's good at slugging it out with fighters, but he doesn't have the fitness or capacity to increase his workload by 15% or so..

If you watch Woods' fights, he wins them mostly by points and most of them are due to his higher workrate...so that is what Briggs would have to negate.

About Fricken time!!! I really hope this fight goes ahead! After Briggs two wars with Adamek (alleged juicer) nobody wants to fight Briggs cos he's way too tough. It's Barry Michael all over again. Briggs had Adamek doing the 'Wobbles' but couldn't finish the p*ick! Briggs is an 'Animal!' This is one guy who as a teenager fought against Champion Jomhod who'd had 227 professional Muay Thai bouts and Briggsy was also a former Muay Thai World Champion having faced the lot, knees elbows etc. Anyone from NSW know what his training's been like??? He would need to fight the 10-15th ranked Light Heavy to get some rounds in before Woods fight. I rate Woods as a B- fighter so Briggs who will be 'Very' hungry and knows it'll probably be his last 'Real' shot at a Title would dispose of Woods in 9th or 10th!

mate i wish it was that easy...have you watched Woods fight?

He ain't no legend, but the guy works and works hard....he has a very high workrate...Either way, Briggs can't get any other fight so he may as well try him...unless some other big fight can come up for him.

Woods style is very 'Robotic'! Roy Jones made him look like a 'muppet' and he hasn't come on in leaps and bounds since then. Jason De Lisle gave him a tight argument first time and all De Lisle was was a Foxtel fighter, nothing more!

He might've got Briggs out of there but Briggs does have 'Brass' balls as a kid getting in there against that beast.

De Lisle..forget him...Briggs looked **** too against Clavero....sometimes you can only be as good as your opponent is..

Watch Woods' recent wins over Gonzalez x 2 and Glen Johnson...thats the Woods I am talking about.
