col Blake 11-17-2007, 04:51 PM ye what happened to the pop man, we used to have a company called alpine, every flavour under the sun and then some, dandelion and burdock was the dogs, then some one else took over and the pop was ****, but at least one of the vans squished an old biddie at the end of my street which was cool.
RonRoss 11-17-2007, 04:54 PM hahaha, they really did have every flavour possible .. i think aload of infants just threw random objects in a blender and see how it turned out

what a poor childhood you must have had, no pop man, you would get 10p back on your bottles, we had a chip van and a mobile shop, it was a converted ambulance.
mickeyb 11-17-2007, 06:08 PM yea man Alpine pops were ****ing mint.
We used to get a good few bottles a week - then be able to tick what we wanted delivered the following week. We had some right choice.
Always had a cherryade and a dandelion and burdock though - that was a basic essential.
Orangeade was a bit ****e.
I loved the ****ing pop man.

Hahaha aye you could get entertainment from the empty + pop tastes better outta glass bottles.
It was a win win situation.
mickeyb 11-19-2007, 05:35 PM You used to get a discount if you returned the bottles....so my cheap arse family returned em.
Cos thats the Yorkshiremans way. I'd have got a clout round the ear for smashing them- by' eck!
oovavu 11-19-2007, 05:40 PM Yea we were the snobs of the estate, we stood outside the lesser folks homes and laughed as we smashed our 40p's worth of bass shandy and american cream soda bottles.
They don't do it here anymore but the milkman brings me milkshake and orange juice for breaky, im 22 :(
mickeyb 11-19-2007, 06:00 PM sounds alright to me. The milkman ****ing left town years ago round my end.
Supermarkets killed it.
Oh well - i love a pint of orange juice though. I remember in the mornings, before school - i'd catch him and buy one off him on the way down. Gorgeous.

Hahaha have you watched that Sykes documentary mate where he gets outta nick and his telling his missus to turn the lights off cos your eyes waste away if you dont use daylight when its there.
He's saying it's a statutory right in prison to use daylight when its available, hes saying statutory rights in jail are for medical reasons.
I thought hes just being tight hahaha.
