First you will need an image program. I use Irfan View for croping and resizing. It's free and a small download. You can download it HERE (http://www.irfanview.com/)
First open the picutire you want to use as an avatar.
Next. Crop away any part of the pic you don't want.

hold the left click down while dragging the mouse to make a box around the area you want to save.

When you're done click edit, then crop.

Click image then resize and resample.

Make sure that preserve aspect ratio is checked. Then where it says New Size, change the largest number to 150.
So if its Width 184 and Height 152 change the Width to 150.
When you're done click OK

Next you will have to upload it to a server or some time of online file storage. Yahoo (http://briefcase.yahoo.com/) Has an easy to use and free service.
Once you have it uploaded, Right click on the picture and click properties.

What web host do you use Curly to store image files? I use Yahoo, but everytime I upload a pic from my briefcase, the desired image(which was created in Irfanview in 150x150 pixels) appears to be outside of allowed dimensions when I want to change my avatar.
