I'm a fan of Kimbo, but yeah I agree. I want to see him fight somebody of substance, someone of meaning. Not some last minute fill in, never been like Bo Cantrell. I'd love to see Slice against a serious opponet for once.

Kimbo is obviously not gonna be fighting Liddell or Alexander. besides the organization difference .. there's also a thing called weight class ... and Kimbo obviously isn't a light Heavy

in Elite XC I would like to see Paul Buentello or Antonio Silva eventually get a fight with Kimbo

but in the meantime Kimbo will be fed tomato cans until they see him ready.

because to my knowledge Elite XC doesn't have a Heavyweight title yet .. so why not build Kimbo up .. and then put together some kind of tourney, where Slice can really be tested

Kimbo-Tank woulda been an intriuging match had Tank been carbon frozen for the past 10 years, as it stands though Tank is far past it. These days, his idea of training now is probably getting wasted at the bars and trying to start **** with people. Still, that's not to say he has no chance, just a slim one. This is actually a good fight for Tank, in terms of getting a payday and fighting against a familiar style, just think youth will prevail. One thing worth noting however, Tank has actually shown decent wrestling skills in the past (an underrated aspect of his game) so perhaps this'll pay dividends. I admit I'm a bit intrigued by the matchup, though common sense tells me its just another matchup against a washed up fighter.

(Kimbo and Tank) were supposed to fight earlier, so I have very little doubt that Elite XC will try to get Abbott vs Kimbo in 2008

it does have intrigue because of not just the match up .. but the fact that Tank has expressed that he wants to fight Kimbo

Yes I know that pretty well, thats why I want that fight to happen.

I really like the Tank, always have but he is past it, but the 2 things he'll have going into this match are 1 - experience and 2 - no fear of KImbo, which is more than can be said for all of Kimbo's fights (street or pro)

Im sure Elite XC has a lot of stock in him. Their building him up now(that Bo fight was a joke). So you fools are hyped on him,which is working. Then they will put him on PPVs. Sure Kimbo has physical potential to be great, but he wont be. He really is the MMA version of Butterbean. This is coming from a fan of his youtube fights and I picked him to beat Mercer.
