Matt Hughes and teammate Robbie Lawler are going over final preparations as they get set to fight in UFC 42. Hughes will be facing Sean Sherk in the main event, while Lawler will be facing Pete Spratt. Both guys fight at 170, but it's Lawler that cuts more weight than Hughes.
MMAWeekly.com had a chance to briefly talk with Lawler and his entourage, and it was interesting to note that Robbie cuts from around 190-192 down to 170. When asked who cuts more weight it was Lawler who said he cuts more weight than Hughes.
There's been a lot of talk that if Hughes and Lawler kept winning, their could be some quetions as who will fight for the #1 contendership. Some people thought it would be Hughes who would consider going up in weight in a few matches, but talking with Robbie, it seems he is the guy that could easily go up to 185 to fight if he wanted.
