I know this has been discussed alot but it hasnt been really talked about in here..... I think danny has the hunger too win the the light heavy weight crown, did you see him against mundine, he was really really mechanical in a stiff sort of way, his last 3 fights hes been the same "mechanical" but in a destructive sought of way.... since his lost too mundine he's a taking it too the next level, it's a shame that tarver chickened out because then every one in america would love too watch danny fight hes entertaining, I hope he beats Drews then goes on too make his first tittle defence in the states against a notable opponent....

i havent seen enough of drews to give a good judgement but you're right about danny.. he's mechanical and stiff but he's getting the job done. from what ive heard and seen of drews he's a rough and ready prick and he'll be ready to fight. this is probably going to suit the boxer puncher in danny. he needs to fight hard but effectively and i think the belt could be his.

dont know about the big fight in the states.. seems danny is set on his mundine rematch which does make more sense for a guy with alot of pride. lets just hope he's not looking past stipe

nah me neither.

although to make a fair point.. that i havent heard anyone else raise.. green's level of opposition.. especially the world title fight.. will hold him in good stead for a tough fight. whereas mundine fighting argie bums isnt tuning himself for a step up.

He'll only be slower this time around.

I think hes in with a chance. Green fighting world class opposition. Mundine is fighting train drivers on sleeping tablets. I think Danny is in with more than a good chance this time round. But then again, if Mundine fights someone decent before it will be a shut out. But if it was going to happen straight after the clavero fight then diffferent story.

I don't want to be a downer, but Green has fought a fair share of bums. His best opps where Byer, Lucas & Mundine. The murdochs of the fight game only give you a false sense of your ability. But Green has been more willing than bumdine to fight better fighters. I give him that. If you put Green's ability in the Welterweight division he'd be in big trouble.

And after the bumdine fight, I have to question his heart. I guess I'm comparing him to the likes of Jeff Harding, Rose etc.

Okay, have you seen Jeff Hardings First world title fight? Jeff was so far behind on points, his face a bloody mess. He was told before the 12th he needed a KO to win and what did he do? He showed great heart and put everything on the line and went for the KO and got it. He was being outboxed the whole fight.

Re watch Mundine Green again and you'll see Green hesitate more than he actually throws punches.

I love fighters who'll put it all on the line and go for the win, just like that little lightweight in your sig. Now what's a fighter who'll never die wondering.

As much as I hate Jeff Fenech as a person, they guy put himself on the line every time he got into the ring.

i dig what you're saying. i spose i just hadnt thought about it like that.. i just saw green as hopelessly outclassed that night but yeah.. he didnt really go above and beyond at any stage. seemed resigned to the loss... fair point.

i suppose that conflicts with the character he's presented as.. and he has shown heart in other instances.. fighting through dehydration etc.

Yeah but that just stupid, him trying to KO a guy Anthony KOd' and Jeff was really pushing for that.

I just believe Danny didn't go to the line in the Mundine fight and I really respect fighters who go to the line. Strangely DLH did that in the first Mosley fight and the Quartey fight.

Yeah, I hope he can do it for his sake, but it won't be the walk in the part that a lot of people are thinking it will be for him. Anyhow we'll be there in full effect that night.

I have seen Stipe fight 3 times. Once in person. He has improved in the last couple of years. But if Danny rushes him, he can win a KO. Stipe puts it all on the line aswell. The only thing being, he doesn't have the same power as Danny. Also when hes behind he fights dirty.
