A close family member is seriously ill and needs my help. I prefer not to get too into this at this moment.

Bottom line, I need to make up to 50 grand by the end of the summer. How can I do that?

If you're gonna tell me stripping, prostitution, and drug dealing, I already thought of that so give me something new.

I can't think of ways to raise that sort of money that doesn't involve big ethical questions or large legal ones.

Start hitting up the rich and wealthy people you know to see if you can arrange a deal?

Arrange a family meeting to see what can be done? If it's family related maybe all your family can pitch in. 50,000 alone is hard to do. Divided amoung 10, maybe even 20 family members, it might be much more feasible... ?

If there were an easy way to make 50 grand in 4 months, id be doing it right now.

Win a fitness show, ...that's one way to make a quick 50 grand...(which would be impossible for you to do within that specified time) Or ask Jake or Magic to send you Robert Kiosaki's ticket to being rich with Passive Income. Personally i think its a scam, just like all the other 'realestate' gimmicks out there. They might prove me wrong.

Passive income such as through a network marketing company or other such business, even real estate takes time man. You need to learn the trade, do your homework, make contacts and build it up. It's not a get rick quick scheme. I don't believe there is such a thing IMHO.

If you can learn real estate and find prospective buyers you could try 'flipping' property but as Purity can tell you, that **** is ****ing risky and can backfire badly...

My family had a similar situation last May. My cousin was to receive a kidney from an aunt but because she had no medical insurance, she had to come up with approx 10,000 to cover her share of the costs and then an additional $2,000 a month for her perscriptions.

None of us are wealthy so everyone who could just started to raise $$ on their own by making/selling things. Two other cousins cleaned houses on nights and weekends while going to college full time. I bought used books and sold them for a huge profit on ebay. My aunt is a hair stylist and she donated all her tips for 3 months (which was about $1,500!!). My uncle sold 2 cars that had been sitting in his driveway that no one used.

$50,000 is way too much to do alone, but if every member of your family can do just a little, it will help. In 3 months we raised just under $15,000, but there is no way I could have done it alone. You will have to ask your family for help and maybe find a part time job, like cleaning houses, that has very low overhead and you can do around your schedule.

Well... depending on what his illness is you can first find organizations that help his/her illness and explain the case and they can at least supply you with ideas on how to raise the money if they do not help financially themselves with at least half of the expense. Not sure how many people are helping, but you can go to a small hall and talk to someone about doing a dinner to raise money for this situation, they will cut the cost if you provide with proof of the illness and sell tickets to raise money. Also go to different religious organizations, There is a Sisters of Mercy in CA, call them, they will be willing to help with something.

IS it possible for you to make posters and advise the general public as to what your aunts condition is? and hold like a charity spaghetti dinner or something like that. If you belong to a church ask the preist about a gamling licence and maybe hold a bingo or a "Vegas Night" the house always wins and you may be able to make some fast cash that way

Bzob and Kato stole my thunder. Ive seen here at the Cancer Center where they have had hospital wide bake sales, dinners, raffles and what not and have raised quite a bit of money. You'd be suprised what business', athletes etc. will donate to raffles for a good cause.

****! 50,000 is a lot of money...I would say gamble by betting on sports games or fights, but the chances of coming out on top are slim...sorry I cant help...

Azn, go to the local tv stations, or the Fox network, KTLA, just call them, email the info, leave them a contact number, no better advertisement than tv. Also go to to the newspapers. I bet the doantions go off the chart, I've seen it happen on tv news stories.
