What is this belt that Joe Stevenson and BJ are fighting for?
Is it a UFC-UK title?
What about Sherk's title, where does it fit in?

Thanks for clarification

ya thats some ****in bs... its a "blah blah blah " belt... the winner of pen-stevenson will be given a title.. but then when they fight sherk. there will be one title again... basiclly they are stripping sherk without stripping sherk.. in my eyes its a number one contender fight for a title shot

The UFC cannot wait much longer for Sherks appeal hearing because they have to announce an event for the UK and lucky enough they came up with an interim title which is just saying if Sherk wins his appeal he will fight the winner and if he loses the appeal he knows who holds his lightweight title

Man, that is some ****ed up ****!

I thought Sherk was acquitted of those steroid charges?

I put my money on Penn and hopefully Sherk finally gets the charges dropped and he can fight Penn for the title.

i think bj will take joe s. out. bj is a better fighter by far. if he wins and ends up having to fight sherk, who do you think wins that? i still think bj is a better fighter, however sherk is just so strong. he will probably take him dwn and lay on top like he does with everyone...and end up with a decision if bj cant submit him. i know bj has some of the best takedown defense in mma and will be a test for sherk (if it happens). sherk is just so damn strong

Yes, Sherk is a little terror for sure. But I think Penn will be able to handle his strength just fine. Look how he did against Hughes and GSP.

The CSAC is playing runaround with Sherk and instead of taking the belt of him to protect the credibility of the belt from a retarded comission (nothing against Sherk, but if Baroni gets six months for proving CSAC testing policy is wack, what's going to happen if Sherk does it too?) he's keeping it on Sherk and getting an interim title out there if the ruling is maintained.

It also proves that Dana's got his favorites.
