Reputations
You will see something called "Karma" next to the online status of every user on the bottom of every post. If you click on it, you can either agree or disagree with a post and add your opinion as to why. Good or Bad, it adds to a users reputation and makes them either gain or lose points. You can see what a user's Karma is by putting your mouse over the colored jewel which is next to a user's name within his posts.

The more Reputation points you have, the longer your bar is. Dr_C has a long red bar because he is so far in the negative. You have a short red bar so you must be a little in the negative. Most people have short blue bars for being a little in the positive.

On this "karma" issue, on the user control panel is where you check your own, right? The reason I ask is cause usually they look like light blue squares...what does a blue-gray square mean? I know red is for bad, but I've got 2 of the other color and it's not the same as the regular blue we've been seeing.

It took me some time to figure that out too. I think the way it works is that if somebody with bad karma tries to give you karma it doesn't count. That's when you get the gray square. For example when Dr_C sends karma it is that because he is so far in the hole. Also if you see your number, mines around 21 now, but if you get a blue square the points go up by 1, a red square brings it down 1, and the grey square doesn't move it either way.

It's like people with bad karma their opinion doesn't matter. lol

No, I dont think so. I'm not sure how it works..I havent used the thief option or anything, so I dont know how I got that much. According to the faq. thing on the new layout, you get point's for posting, when others read your posts or reply to them, but I dont know if that involves the karma or not. I do wish Rick would tell us how much we get per poster :confused:
