And the plyometrics of today are vastly different from the plyometric type things around in my hey day. rj_ct 10-29-2007, 12:55 AM i used to do plyos once a week for off ice hockey training during the season, and sometimes up to 5 times a week during the off season depending on the camp. so i have a very strong hate for plyos. but i need to start incorporating them into my boxing training. right now i don't do any. greengloves 10-29-2007, 02:29 AM Just wondering, it's been awhile since I was actively training in the sport. FIGHTING_FLIP 10-29-2007, 11:57 AM can someone post a plyometric workout? mrrupo 10-29-2007, 02:19 PM oh i see, what did you do thats so different? i just cant imagine it being hugely different. keneisiology has improved plyometric training a lot since the mid to late 90's. i forget what the old workouts were like, but they were quite different and weren't nearly as effective as todays. egonct 10-29-2007, 11:35 PM im not totally versed in what specifically falls under plyometrics, but i think i have the idea. my friend and i set up a circut workout that was great the other day. 25 jumping jacks 25 pushups 25 situps 10 burpees rope climb (have a 25ft in the gym at school) 5 pull ups 25 hopping over medicine ball the key is to go from one exercise to the next without rest in the set. the goal is to shoot for 5 sets. phallus 10-30-2007, 01:40 AM im not totally versed in what specifically falls under plyometrics, but i think i have the idea. my friend and i set up a circut workout that was great the other day. 25 jumping jacks 25 pushups 25 situps 10 burpees rope climb (have a 25ft in the gym at school) 5 pull ups 25 hopping over medicine ball the key is to go from one exercise to the next without rest in the set. the goal is to shoot for 5 sets. the hurpees, jumping, and pushups - but they have to be plyo pushups, where your hands get off the ground when u go up. that's pylometrics. i've noticed a real increase in my punching power since i started doing this **** |
