View Full Version : i've not learned one ****ing thing from this forum.
juggernautburn 10-28-2007, 04:01 AM the only thing that i ever see said here is how someone can't do this or someone can't do that. Hating **** like "you can't go pro." "your coach is probably right for moving you slowly." all the while you see mother****ers sparring the first week. can't forget the dumb questions like "i went to the gym 364 days this year and then took a day off. am i lazy?" "is going to the gym 5 hours a day enough?" etc. this forum is for people with videos and brag stories to show off. no one ever gives anyone support because they are insecure and get intimidated when they see people are actually going places, unlike themselves. you guys are worse than ****ing hoskins.
it's a good thing i stopped listening to you guys.
GrizzleBoy 10-28-2007, 09:17 AM Some true points ive actually seen myself there, but its not everyone who does it so you shouldnt put everyone into a single group and bash them.
To be honest though, when people ask questions here, people generally try their best to help.
There will always be others who'll put their ego first and belittle them for asking or tell them they cant do something before they try. Or people who post stuff to show off (i see that as more of just being proud of their achievments but i know what youre saying).
But again thats not everyone, this forum isnt totall full of douches like you make out. Ive learned a lot of things by reading peopkes advice, discussions and arguments here.
You seem to know what the good and bad stuff is so just ignore what wont help and take notice of what will.
Versastyle 10-28-2007, 10:24 AM I tend to try to help ppl on this forum.I havnt asked for help myself in awhile.
SpeedKillz 10-28-2007, 12:45 PM then find a new forum big guy...
ur talkin like EVERYONE here is like that. that aint the case. people here try and help but certain retards make it hard and impossible to be serious here cuz of all the **** talking and crazy posts that come and go.
y dont u jus settle down and go with the flow. no need to pop a blood vessel over a boxing forum...
mickeyb 10-28-2007, 12:50 PM **** you! You can't box for ****!
mgkirkpatrick 10-28-2007, 12:54 PM jugs you just gotta take it slow. it's not like you could ever go pro or anything.
Versastyle 10-28-2007, 01:14 PM Another thing. Its hard to help out ppl if there isnt any video of them sparring or fighting. Its hard to explain something you need help on if we cant see it visibly. Thats like calling a Doctor on the phone and telling them your foot hurts and what can you do to make it better. There not going to know whats fully wrong if they dont go in the Doctors office so he can check it out.
What questions have you asked? theirs a solid 12-15 of us who have alot of knowledge on training

I think he got pissed off at people who put a little reality check on all the dreamers in his "what do you see yourself doing in boxing" thread.
I for one believe that ALL the guys in that thread are future world champions.

No ****.
I'm surprised at you jugger. The real problem with this forum is that too many internet geeks just talk about how great they think they could be. How good ARE you and how do you want to get better? Plenty of people here will help you with that, so long as you cut the **** about it being your destiny. No one is going to encourage that.
Anal Squabbles 10-28-2007, 03:01 PM Theres some real haters. I mean i just post about the **** i get up to , trying to hand out some inspiration. But i just encounter alot of haters.
But just like in real life man - you gotta just ignore it and keep pushing man. I'm like a mother ****ing freight train, and people be bigging me up all the time. I'm really respected in the boxing world where i am - but i still meet *******s who wanna bring me down.
Just keep on going man. One day, just like me, you'll be a champ too.

eazy_mas 10-28-2007, 03:42 PM to be a champion is a big word and dream.
It easy to say it but very hard to do it. I watched Ippo which was my inspiration for boxing.
Ippo was the best in Japan and there was the WBC undeafted champion Martiniez who sparred with Ippo. He made him look like a fool with just using the left. From that on Ippo knew he got a long way to become the best.
Another part of the story was when he fought the Philipino champion Gendo. Gendo was the type of fighter who throws away fight for money as well as has many tricks on his sleeves. When Ippo fought him, he hardly beaten him at the end he asked him why did he throw away fights when he could be the best. He said he meet with a person who destroyed his dream of become the best so now he just trying to get a penny.

ForemanCrossArm 10-28-2007, 08:42 PM this forum, to me, is just a place to keep my mind on boxing when i can't be/am not at the boxing gym.
i think there are a few good posts everyday.. which might not seem like much, but it's way more than anyother [for the sport of] boxing forum I've seen.
i think enough decent people move in and out of here that posting up pics of my progress is also a motivator. my thread "day by day" is pretty dumb but at least it's something i can look back on every few days and see actual improvement, words of encouragement, and just the plain fact that I've already put quite a bit of time/effort in to this.. Enough to be proud of myself, already. But I'm not proud of myself. I'm not even 100% proud of my progress, and that is the attitude you've gotta' have.. That I need.
I want to be great at this because I feel great doing this. I want to give to boxing what it's given to me.
juggernautburn 10-29-2007, 05:16 AM i just want to let you guys know that i'm not taking personal shots at anyone. i was having a bad day when i wrote this, terrible day...i could have been a lot less vulgar with my points, but i still have my opinion.

Yeah, I learned more about boxing in Ippo than I have in this site to be honest.
It helps me understand how a boxer feels and thinks and why they do some sort of things.
People my call a person a bum and dont even know his story. In Ippo usally there is a pre-fight story invovle in both fighters who are fighting. It builds up the excitment because you know what the actully reason they are fighting. I understand abit each fighters journey because even though Ippo is anime but there are abit from real life story of someone who is fighting. Every fighter in boxing whether they are rich or poor, talented and hardworking or lazy...etc each one have his reason to fight.
DoctorKillJoy 10-29-2007, 04:13 PM This is the best thread I've read all day
