vera broke his hand and mostly threw elbows from the 2nd round onwards. tim was landing some shots but none was knocking vera down. his size did it. once he pushed vera to the cage vera was not able to do anything. vera was able to take him down with a swipe though.

he wasnt listening to his corner. his corner kept telling him to move away and throw the kicks he'd throw 3 and then clinch which is a big disadvantage for him. maybe vera should try the LHW division.

Vera is a well-balanced fighter, he has one of the best if not the best stand-up in the heavyweight division and his ground skills are solid, he's actually a better grappler than striker, he just hasn't had the opportunity to showcase it.

However, Brandon is 6'2 and slender-looking at 225lbs. He's rather small for a heavyweight and trying to make 205lbs is a huge amount of weight to cut down to. He already looks skinny carrying that 225lbs. losing 15-20lbs more would make him look anorexic, and that may zap his strength.

Brandon's size and the weight needed for the light heavy and heavyweight for him to compete is putting him between a rock and a hard place. Here's an analogy, a basketball player is 6'9 210lbs and slow. He would have a hard time bodying up against the Power Forwards who generally weigh around 250lbs, but if he were to play Small Forward he'd be too slow. Y'all get the picture.

Anyway...in my opinion Vera should have won rounds 1 and 2 but both rounds were very close. I don't know how they score **** on UFC. Tim used his size but Vera was the one connecting (but not much). Round 3 was one sided in favor of Tim.
