View Full Version : Most cals you burned in 1 day?
Hooks 10-20-2007, 02:47 AM I was at gold's gym from 6pm-9pm doing nothing but running, I managed to burn a little more than 1,000 calories. I was using some machine where you stand on it and it's sort of like big pedals like you are riding a big bike except running on it. I burned 860 cals on that and then 140 on the treadmill, I was taking breaks in between though to make it easier. I would've finished it off on the treadmill but I kept on almost falling off of it because there wasn't that much traction.
greengloves 10-20-2007, 03:04 AM that 'thing' is an elliptical machine
phallusy 10-20-2007, 03:18 AM i've read somewhere that the most calories someone can burn in a day is like 5000 or so, but u'd have to go run a marathon to burn more than that
VERSATILE2K9 10-20-2007, 08:46 AM I've probably burned about 2000 in a day.
Tuggers1986 10-20-2007, 09:00 AM The most ive ever burned in a day is probably between 1600-1800. That was with a massive run and a massive swim.
Organik 10-20-2007, 09:27 AM I'm not sure, but they use to put us through hell on my HS wrestling team. My former school is among the very best in Oregon for wrestling and wrestling is big in that state so the workouts were pretty intense.

The workouts for our High School was intense also. We would do floor drills in 40 degree weather in the cold, wet, mud. In only a shirt and shorts sometimes. At 7am on the dot.
Till this day I say Wrestling is alot harder then boxing.
Mines probly around the 1000-1500 mark. I went running in the morning, then boxing at night for 2,5 hours then went straight to the gym and did the bike for 45 minutes and weight training.
Zach53088 10-20-2007, 12:18 PM Probubly over 10,000 cals. When I won a 40 mile Sea Kayak Marathon. Non stop paddling from 6am to 8pm.

Well I know that while I was out in the gulf of mexico paddling it was like the middle of no where I ran out of food quickly cause I was eating so much. I packed like three Pb and j sandwiches and apples bananas. Ate them all. I started to run out of energy cause I needed even more food burning carbs off like a mad man. Thank god some people in a boat passed by and gave me food. They stuffed my backpack with it so I was set to go the last 20 miles. By the time I got to the shore I was crawling up the damn beach trying to get the the finish dragging my kayak behind me. All I won was a 20 dollar olive garden gift card. LOL! But winning it was more of a prize than anything. That was the first time I ever stepped into a kayak too. You don't haft to be in great athletic shape its all mid over matter you say you can do it and you will.

I think the same with running. It's mind over matter. A few months ago i went from running 3-4 miles to 8-10 miles just because i got my head around it and realised most of it comes down to mind over matter.

Dedication.
