SpeedKillz 10-17-2007, 03:51 PM thats whack. it aint gonna simulate real boxing, and its not gonna help anything boxing related except burning calories. did u see the guys throwin, the shit goin on on the screen was notthing to how they were punching... James78 10-17-2007, 04:56 PM I recognise the skinny one, who is he? did he fight a young de la hoya? It's buggin me! PepeM 10-17-2007, 08:42 PM It wont help your boxing skills at all obviously, but I think its gonna be an extremely fun game. Plus the anime its based on rocks!! Im thinking of getting a Wii just for this game... Mistadobalina 10-18-2007, 07:54 AM I recognise the skinny one, who is he? did he fight a young de la hoya? It's buggin me! i believe so. if you go to the 3rd street gym boxing website, they have his profile. DA1CATAS 10-18-2007, 10:56 AM oh shit i'm gettin wii now.. no ****in joke i'm gettin wii now. That shit will burn mad calories and you could do it with a robbing hoody to make weight if ya wanted... It will keep your mind on boxing and it wont even feel like your training. I think this is great because I can train without even putting the mental effort of actually training. If a boxer doesn't Respect that then I don't know about them. but like speedkillz said it might not be as accurate as it looks in the video clip. But it will DEF burn calories... and looks TOOOOOOOO FUN. i'm actually excited about gettin wii now.. Though before seeing this lil clip I had no plans whatsoever of getting it. Was gonna get the ps3. Ramamaiden 10-18-2007, 11:34 AM ohh, this game is based on an anime series about boxing that is really great. my avatar is a character of that series =P. i have been expecting this game, and it really seems to be fun so ill have to ask a friend that has wii to buy it so i can play it xD. Anyone interested on this anime should check this thread. Its the whole anime on torrent, and there is also a link to the whole manga and its for online view, so you dont need to download the manga :P. http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110650 It really is an amazing series and it has to be, cos it was one the reasons i started to get really interested in boxing, and now i just love boxing :boxing: Peterp 10-19-2007, 08:23 AM let's face it, no video game machine which costs a few hundred bucks is gonna be able to replicate boxing to a level to satisfy real boxers I reckon the game will be fun and will be a good workout BUT anyone concerned that playing a game like that excessively may ruin your real boxing technique ? I am damm sure that throwing technically perfect punches will NOT be the best way to beat this game. There will be sloppy shortcuts which will make you better at the game but may hurt your real boxing game. thoughts ? Well you would have ****ed the game all up for me if i didnt believe I'd be able to seperate the two and focus. That makes some sense, but unless you play the game obsessively and go for cheats like youre talking about i really doubt it would do any harm. You could put effort into doing things right and make it more helpful. I wouldn't be surprised if it helped a little with reflexes too. I couldn't tell how good the slipping and ducking were but theres some definite potential there for a decent benefit. Obviously I wouldn't use it instead of working out or going to the gym but it would be a fun supplement. vBulletin® v3.7.1, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
