Is the PS3 worth the cost right now or should i wait till the new GTA comes out to get it? Are there many good games now out for it? Like the new EA sports 08 series?

i love mine, so i would say yeah....Ratchet and Clank: ToD comes out october the 30th......that game is looking awesome...

and yes, fifa is already out and so is nba live...and nhl.....and the infamous madden 08....

If you like cheaper prices and the same preformance with better online services it would be the 360, but if you're a diehard PlayStation fan you would go with the PS3. The only thing you would be missing out of would be the Metal Gear Solid series that is currently still PS3 exclusive, as for all the sports games and Grand Theft Auto series, it's all on the 360.

I mean for around 250 you can get the core system, to me that's a pretty damn good deal.

The new 40GB version can't play PS2 games but can play old PS1 games. It has 2 less USB readers and I think it doesn't have some of the memory card readers.

I hate rpg games.I am jealous of Tekken 6 though also GTA 5. I love those games. All I've really been hearing about the PS3 is how they're failing but we'll see how it all plays out.

both are good systems really....the ps3 rushed in without being ready because they took longer than expected developing the console....

and 360 so far has done very good with marvelous games like bioshock, gears of war, halo3, etc....unlucky for them that the second biggest market in the world is totally anti-america....

yeah thats what ive heard, but the devleopers of the 5 best games out there for ps3(uncharted, ratchet and clank, call of duty 4, resistance fall of man and unreal tournament 3) have said ps3 isn't that hard...actually the call of duty 4 developers said they liked it more than in 360...

remember that they said the same of ps2...big part of that is because theyre more familiar with 360 so they just look to port the games, instead of developing separately...

The first Killzone was good, aside from the fact that it takes almost a whole clip to take out one guy. Other than that, what was wrong with it. Graphics were great, there were curse words, cool weapons, online was fun as ****. Killzone 2 looks like it's going to be crazy. PS3 is worth it if you can afford it, IMO.

HERES THE REASON WHY IM GETTIN THE PS3 - eight days, the getaway 3, L.A. noire, red dead revolver 2, yakuza 3. ALL EXCLUSIVE GAMES FOR THE PS3.

With 360 being a higher seller in the states, why would people buy a PS3 just to purchase Devil May Cry. It's going to be a high seller for whichever system the person owns. honestly the free online makes it worth it for me. If i get a 360 It'll be to bootleg games on, which means no online play.

Some of their biggest exclusives makes their way to PC though, and Im in the process or upgrading mine, so I'll put off buying a 360 for a bit.

assasins creed was actually **** fun for the first half hour then its just repitition. Do't bother with it. I bought both a PS3 and a 360 and both are amazing. Call of Duty 4 is one of the best games I've played and Burnout: Paradise city should be great. Ratchet and Clank was real fun. Resistance is still great if u ain't played it. Orange Box just came out and I love it but 360 is also just as good if your willing to pay £30 a year to ply online. Halo 3, Bioshock and Mass effect are all exclusive to 360 and Ninja Gaiden 2 will be. Devil May cry 4 for both systems. God Of War 3 is yet to be annonced and GTA is out for both systems around March i think, But the big one that I'm waiting for is Metal Gear Solid 4. Thats the reason I got a PS3. O yea and Killzone 2 should be pretty good if they get it right this time round, Haze looks sweet as well.

FF13, Heavy Rain and Metal Gear 4 will be nerd heaven but i agree that the 360 has its classics like Bioshock, Gears and Mass Effect in the bank.

Hopefully Alan Wake and Fable 2 will prove themselves to be brilliant games aswell.

Great games for both systems will come out in 2008 though Sony has 360 beat with MGS alone. Sony and Microsoft have different strategies, Micro likes to have great game when a new system is made Sony likes to wait for there big ones while releasing some good ones in the beginning, both seem to work. Whats annoys the hell out of me is how Micro fans seem to have this dream in there heads that Sony is going to die off like Sega, wrong, Sony has been around too long, has a **** load of money, and keeps producing great games.. They were still cranking out great games as the PS3 was coming out, Rogue Galaxy for example. I'm sticking with Sony, IMO they come out with better games in the long run, I don't hate micro though.

Even if you just want to watch hi-def movies, theres a few articles out there, that did reviews, and the ps3 is the best Blu Ray player out, beating the stand alones.

HD-DVD IS ****ING DEAD: PARAMOUNT AND DREAMWORKS MAY DROP IT FOLLOWING WARNER'S MOVE.

In a decision that will unarguably end HD DVD’s run at an attempted war, Paramount has shown signs that they are poised to drop their HD DVD support. Both Paramount and Dreamworks came out last summer and showed support for the HD DVD camp, however, this support is now wavering greatly with the move of Warner Bros.

Paramount is believed to have a clause in its contract with HD DVD that allows them the opportunity to shut off support of HD DVD if Warner Bros switched their allegiance to Blu-ray. As most may know, Paramount is set up to have a huge blockbuster list of films to release in 2008.

If Paramount follows what is believed to be a support switch, it would inevitably end HD DVD’s life. With Warner giving Blu-ray 70% of Hollywood’s output of work, the implementation of Paramount and Dreamworks library of films would push that percentage through the roof. Right now, it is unclear if Dreamworks has the same clause written as Paramount, but the chances are likely.

CES has brought an unprecedented amount of good news for the Sony faithful on all fronts. PSU will continue to cover this story as more news breaks on what is happening behind closed doors.

Seriously with all these big company's backing blu-ray now, i dont think theres any way HD vidoe will be a bust.....and blu ray is definatly winning the war........

HD-DVD could be dead, movies-wise, but theres still PC media/drives since toshiba is all over that.The HDDVD 360 add-on can be used on a PC too so...


but a single format would be better overall though.

Companys just see it as a better way to make money. With that jacked prices on any sort of High Definiton player, I will settle for the subtle less quality version.
