View Full Version : Anderson Silva v Rich Franklin
number6 10-15-2007, 05:18 PM Anyone think the outcome will be different thiss time?
If so how will Franklin do it?
I think Rich will fare better but get taken out again on stand up.
Mozza 10-15-2007, 06:03 PM Silva smashed him the last time around and I expect a similar result this time around. Like Liddell with Rampage, I believe Franklin fears Silva and thus cannot beat him.
Palma 10-15-2007, 07:02 PM Silva will beat him, but I think it will not be as one sided as their first bout.
Silva by way of knockout in the second round.
Nodogoshi 10-15-2007, 08:04 PM Yep, Jim Kerry is getting KOd again, thats how I see it.
Blair_Wells#32 10-15-2007, 09:31 PM :nonono: i don't know why everyone is counting rich franklin out....sure he got beat bad last time but don't u think a professional fighter can learn from that fight. Also gotta mention Anderson Silva's weak takedown defense, i think Franklin will b strong enough 2 control him and probably pound Silva out,
or do enough on the ground 2 pull off a decision.
my prediction is a Rich Franklin win.
peace.
American_Ninja 10-15-2007, 09:44 PM Replay of 1st fight.
Larry Merchant 10-15-2007, 10:02 PM Franklin will be back teaching math in a year or so

Lol, no need to take offense brah.. You want to go out on a limb and pick a major upset?? Fine be me. However, a Silva KO is the far more likely senario.
Darkstar 10-16-2007, 03:57 AM I hope Franklin wins. Im going to be there and I have good seats.
SEC. 108
robot_monkey 10-16-2007, 08:08 AM That doesn't make any sense. (sigh)
Blair_Wells#32 10-16-2007, 08:13 PM lol no offense taken, jus surprised franklin is gettin written off so easy, yup i'll pick rich franklin 2 win this weekend ground and pound victory, like i mentioned earlier silva was taken down so easy by his last 2 opponents, sure he won but i still think franklin is strong enough2 control silva on the ground.
peace.
vinnie7731 10-16-2007, 08:16 PM this fight should be good, regardless of the outcome. as much as i want to see rich win it, i dont see that happening in the standup. if he can get to the ground press silva against the cage and get punches in, i think he's got a shot. if the fight stays standing, silva by ko, round 3.

Yeah, basically Rich's only chance is to take it to the ground I think... hopefully for his sake he's been working on the takedown/ground game and will have a proper strategy this time (e.g., aside from sluging it out). However, Silva sorta outclassed him the last time out, and I think he KOs him again. And Silva'll probly be expecting Rich to try and take it to the ground, so that'll only make it tougher.. Silva may punish him as he comes in.
