it appears that way. i think that was a HUGE wake up call for Ricco. I think he is getting ready to fight again.... he will probably come out of the wood works and spark up a fire somewhere. Maybe try to get that belt back.. its gonna take alot more than he expected though... thats for sure.

He looked really bad in the fight with Slyvia <sp> imo anyway. He shoots looked really sluggish and he didn't look good at all. But he sure did get tagged pretty good.

Ricco is a good fighter he just took the fight to lightly.

WAY too lightly. The guy was acting like he won the fight before the fight even started. I loved it when Sylvia knocked him out. It shut him up pretty quick, that's for sure.

ricco is a **** talking chump. the only belt he'll ever own will be the one he uses to hang himself with. only way i see him being a champ is if he fights scrubs in ucc or super brawl. sylvia shut riccos mouth real good and will do it again. i think barnett should fight ricco when he comes back.

Ricco is actually a pretty nice level headed guy, how can you say the only belt he'll ever own will be the one he uses to hang himself with. I've spoken with him and he is actually a very humble guy. mucho respect to Ricco.

IMO.....Ricco got scouted and studied very well. Someone put in the time with the video and found a few things.
Plus you can see when he went for the takedown Silvia just underhooked and tossed him with some incredible strength.

Silvia hangs wit wrestlers, must be hard to hit him with the double leg.

Once I saw the underhook toss by Sylvia I knew that things were leaning in his favor right away.

The only way Ricco could have won that fight is if he would have kept on pulling guard. He almost pulled off two submissions doing this. I know it's incredibly gay to pull guard but that was his only option. There was no way in hell Ricco could have taken Sylvia down.

I have respect for any fighter, any fighter. With that said, I believe Ricco became champion because of the lack of competition in the UFC's heavyweight division. He beat Couture and lost the title in his first defense; I think he is never going to become a champion again. He has talent, but he is far from being championship material.
