hey guys had my first real sparring session yesterday i've done a bit before but allways at a quite slow pace and never really putting weight into punches just focuseing on defence and movement....... anyway yesterday i sparred much harder i wasn't being hit as hard as my sparring partner can throw punches he's my trainer and his punches still hurt quite a lot the main thing was the pressure though in the first 2 rounds i was very nervous and kept crossing my feet etc etc anyway in the 3rd round i calmed down a bit but one problem i keep have is getting off the ropes. my trainer teaches me to get into the peekaboo gaurd keep my eyes on him and bob and weave. he also says look to through an uppercut as your opponet probably wont expect it..... my problem is i find it hard to keep my eyes on wots going on when im getting hit by a flurry of punches and i end up missing openings and getting hit more are there any exercises or drills i could practice at home to improve on keeping my eyes looked on one spot under pressure or any other techniques you use to get out of corners.
