why do people do that? i saw soliman do it after his fight in the contender and wondered why?

When you get done any type of physical activity your muscles are swollen and this reduces that swelling. Also when your muscles get sore from working out it is due to the buildup of lactic acid in your muscles. the cold water helps to drive that out. Both reasons help to reduce recovery time. That is why you should not take hot showers after a workout, only cool - lukewarm.

i think he saw a hot bird sitting beside the ring and needed a cold shower because he was thinking about turning her into a rooting machine. ( auzzies will know what this means )

baisicly what it does it: at the end of the day it help your body recover so you dont get any pains in you body so you can the the workout all over agen the next dat.

Yeah the great Rafa Benitez makes Babel do this and he said on LFC website how it made him recover better.(1) And there isn't anything more intense on the legs than football! Also Rafa got a doctorate for using scientific methods in training so it can't be pseduo science.(2)
