MMAWeekly.com talked with one member from the Lion's Den last night and he told us that Ken Shamrock is preparing to train for an upcoming fight against Ian Freeman at UFC 43.

It seems this story is more than legit because Shamrock went on record yesterday with two pro wrestling news sites and told them, as well, that he will be fighting at UFC 43 against Freeman.

It's believed that it will be a heavyweight fight, but don't expect either fighter to be weighing in at more than 215 pounds for the fight. Both guys have a heck of a time trying to weigh more than 220 ,and instead of trying to cut all the way down to 205, both guys will probably be very light heavyweights.

I thought Freeman cut to LHW and the UFC dropped him?

Freeman has cut to light heavyweight, but Shamrock said he'll never fight under 206 again. So, they're gonna meet each other around 215-220 for this fight. I'm assuming Freemans taking this fight because of the pay day and because it's against Ken.

BTW, Ian told me it's on today.

This is huge for Freeman. Shamrock is among the top 5 best known MMA fighters...fighting him is a huge bonus for your career, even if he is on the downward slide it would seem
