View Full Version : Dive Bomber/Military pushups

Anyone do these? Been doing them as part of a pushup routine and im getting good at them. I know they get you strong, but any aid in boxing? Basically (to use yoga terms) you start in Downward facing dog (an upside down V, so your ass is in the air) and then do a nose dive into Upward facing dog.

if they make u strong, they will naturally help u in boxing. a stronger boxer is better than a not as strong boxer, no?

Yeah, but i dont want to wast time developing strength or muscle i dont need. i struggle enough keeping my weight down, so any extra muscle is just trouble.

i wouldnt worry to much about it. if ur boxing training and doing ur cardio ur weight is gonna skyrocket from doing pushups. it will put some muscle on u but it wont hinder u or make u any bigger. u wont have problems makin weight cuz of it, so i say do them! :boxing:
