The Barrera we saw tonight is not the same man who fought those great battles against Morales. After too many wars and too much abuse, a man just can not perform at his best. Barrera had a great career and he is one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport, but clearly he is past his prime. Like many people I have truly enjoyed his spectacular performances in the ring, but I really don't want to see him getting hit again and losing fights that he would have won 5 or 6 years ago.

He did retired. He boxed. He did what he had to do. Money in the bank.
