BrooklynBomber 10-02-2007, 11:19 PM Yes, it's harder to breath and move your body due to damages to the core. juggernautburn 10-02-2007, 11:27 PM Yes, it's harder to breath and move your body due to damages to the core. well thanks for the answer. i'm going to be a good body puncher. i'm a heavyweight and only 5'11" so it's definately going to be my bread and butter. Versastyle 10-02-2007, 11:58 PM You in boxing and in a boxing forum and didnt know that?:lol1: I call myself more of a bodypuncher then anything, when given the chance. juggernautburn 10-03-2007, 12:24 AM You in boxing and in a boxing forum and didnt know that?:lol1: I call myself more of a bodypuncher then anything, when given the chance. well i had an idea. you know the coaches just tell you what to do, they don't tell you why to do it. i like to know my opponent is breaking down because it helps my confidence. SpeedKillz 10-03-2007, 10:11 AM start with the body shots early, and in the later rounds ur opponent will be drained!! DA1CATAS 10-03-2007, 10:23 AM there should be some lower level for questions like these... I'm jus a lil pissed... I went into hypotension last ngiht after training... now I gotta take it slow till the pain leaves my chest. Animal Squabbs 10-03-2007, 12:47 PM I focus mainly on body shots, alot times during sparring I abandoned usin the jab on the way in and use a right to the body instead to get me inside. Some of the guys Ive sparred said I hurt them to the body, even Brunson said I had good body shots. Plus the body is alot easier to hit, normally the other guy has his hands up and is movin his head but the body is right there. Some of the guys Ive sparred said I hurt them to the body, even Brunson. right hand lead to the body, to get on the inside? i call bull****. sorry animal, but seein ur vids, ur in no way fast enough to use a right hand lead to the body without getting hammered on the way in. jus not in the cards. sorry bud... ForemanCrossArm 10-03-2007, 03:33 PM PLUS, almost as importantly, it makes your opponent slowly drop their gloves as they naturally start to protect the tender area. I never said I didnt get hammered, hater. Versastyle 10-03-2007, 08:45 PM When I start a spar or such.I like to start hammering the body for awhile, then they will think I will go there, then I'll aim for the head. They tend to bend over also if they're taking alot of excessive body punching. As soon as they do that then go for the uppercuts, bodyshots, uppercuts, bodyshots. Alot of the time if you hit them in a good spot to the body they'll back up and respect your power even more. Thats when you start doing feints as if you're going to go to the body, then they will cover up,then give a headshot instead.:) floydfan 10-03-2007, 10:09 PM When I start a spar or such.I like to start hammering the body for awhile, then they will think I will go there, then I'll aim for the head. They tend to bend over also if they're taking alot of excessive body punching. As soon as they do that then go for the uppercuts, bodyshots, uppercuts, bodyshots. GrizzleBoy 10-04-2007, 04:42 AM yeah because you are ****ing advanced and **** right? That made me laugh and I dont know why DA1CATAS 10-04-2007, 07:38 AM right hand lead to the body, to get on the inside? i call bull****. sorry animal, but seein ur vids, ur in no way fast enough to use a right hand lead to the body without getting hammered on the way in. jus not in the cards. sorry bud... I actually thought about it... I would probably have a difficult time trying to land a right hand lead punch to the body. For a second I was like "Man this guy must train like a monster to get a punch like that off regularly..." Then I thought you might be exaggerating a lil bit...because after trying it theres too many open counters that would pose a nice threat to me. Left hook to temple. *( or sidestep and land right hook easily)* BOTH uppercuts. CRASHING right. So your either REALLY GOOD or said too much this time. So your either REALLY GOOD or said too much this time. my thoughts exactly. no way that dude is leading with the right to the body, i cant even do it that well and i havent seen many guys do it before. and then animal calls me a hater for callin him out on it. i dont get it. if ur gonna lie, someone who is experienced (me, da1, vers, etc.) is gonna call u out on it and explain technique wise y its a bad idea and y we dont think u can pull it off. that dont make us haters, it makes us boxers... SpeedKillz 10-04-2007, 08:31 AM I never said I didnt get hammered, hater. if u get hammered, then why keep doing it?? :stupid: i aint a hater, i'm a tactician... Versastyle 10-04-2007, 01:57 PM You say alot of crazy techniques but thats old fashioned textbook... too bad no one reads the textbook anymore though. I admit I've become a head hunter. All I think about is boxing. Most of the time I think about different punches and strategies I can do.Also different combos, and what would they do if I moved this way and do this. I overly think about boxing. At least 85% of the time in my day is me thinking about boxing and strategies. Then when I can put them to the test in sparring, most of the time they work for the good. Ive had a few unsuccessful attempts, but trail and error is always a good thing in sparring. Versastyle 10-04-2007, 02:00 PM In all honestly,if he bobbed and weaved to get in then throw the body shot it could work.I think I have a sparring video on Youtube with me doing it. Then again,he's not as light or as fast as someone that is smaller. Also like I said,I bobbed and weaved.I havnt seen this in his sparring. Thanx for realizing it right away though. :grouphug: that is amusing. but i do not care about your routine. you've been boxing for like 2 years or something and think you have right to say some stupid **** like you've been in the game since you were 6. nah dude, come back after you've got a national title or something, then you can say there should be a lower level for these posts. at any rate, there are plenty of pro boxers in the game that do not understand the purpose of a body shot and are most often head hunters. but i guarantee they aren't "lower level." Versastyle 10-06-2007, 05:45 PM I sparred a very experienced pro the other day,and he hit me with some thudding liver shots.2 of them. That **** makes you wanna think about taking a knee.haha. I didnt show it,and I only felt it for a split second, but still. |
