Oscar won titles at 5 weights from lightweight to middleweight
Thomas Hearns has climbed the most though winning titles at welter, light middle, middle, supermiddle, light heavy and cruiser (although the cruiser wasn't a major organisation)
RJJ won olympic light middle silver medal (robbed) then won titles at middle, light heavy and heavyweight.

Henry Armstrong was the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight champion at the same time. Not the most division titles but to have three different at the same time is ridiculous.

one should differentiate holding an alphabet belts from being the real champ.

The accolade should go to Armstrong who was the man in 3 real divisions (ie: not jr) 126,135,147 and at the same time. Mayweather, Leonard, De La Hoya, Ross follow.
Mayweather has a slight edge on the other three because he covers a more extend span of weight 130, 135, 147. The others won their belts in adjacent divisions Leonard 47,54,60, Ocar, 40,47,54. Ross 35,40,47. Off the top of my head I cannot think of other three division lineal champions.

I can give you an example but this person wasn't a beltholder. Sam Langford was a natural Welterweight but fought at Middleweight and most notably at Heavyweight. And he didn't add weight to do it: He fought at his natural Welterweight level the whole time.

Plus they weren't sub-divisions either so it makes it more credible.:fing02:
