i think its fine the way it is. with those little gloves there would be too many KOs, and not enough battles that fans watch for...

I would slighty disagree and say with those little gloves there would be too many hand breaks.

i guess so, but then again the death rate would go up 900%

no it wouldnt people would just get knocked out quicker.......there was a thread about this a while ago the main reason people suffer brain damage and/or die from boxing is because they take a large amount of punches get concussed and keep on going with the ufc gloves people would just get knocked out quicker.......still i don't think it would be a good idea would probably change the sport way too much

boxing with mme gloves just does not sound like a good idea , it kills defensive tactics , puts the fighter in more danger, and the only reason mma uses gloves like that is because you cant exactly grapple with boxing gloves on .

I dont see the point. It would just be like in a street brawl, whoever connects the first punch wins. The sport is fine as it is now, it just needs some air time on free TV, and it will rise again in fame quickly.

A real boxer would seriously hurt someone with those gloves. If someone can cause an injury that kills a person with Boxing gloves... Imagine MMA gloves.

lol you boxing guys get so offended its funny, He asked a question and I gave my opinion, isnt that allowed? Am I supposed to kiss some ass and say boxing is great already? I dont think so. Another thing retarded is that the only thing u have to back up boxing is the de la hoya vs mayweather fight and those only seem to come once a year. hmmm lame, and no im not trying to promote mma, they seem to do a great job of that already so I dont need to.

this is great. on mma forums they bash boxing up and down and get all p*ssyhurt if someone brings up boxing, and on boxing forums its the opposite.

each also has its troll posters who always start with the comparing.

two different sports.

Anyone here actually ever spar MMA with MMA gloves on? Give it a shot, you will see what i meant earlier.... it would just mean a lot more broken hands. The gloves are there more to protect your hands.

getting hit hard = getting hit hard. It doesnt feel a whole lot different to get hit hard with 6oz MMA gloves or 10oz pro fight gloves. the difference is tiny. vut it feels a whole lot different on your hands to throw 50 punches with mma gloves as it does to throw 50 punches with 10oz pro fight gloves.

boxers throw more punches in a round than get thrown between two combatants in an entire MMA match.

MMA is a great sport, but an entirely different sport from boxing so no need to compare.

boxing doesnt need anything to make it more exciting. It is a beautiful art. changing the gloves like that would change the game a lot.

boxing also doesnt need a booste. boxing has had a great '07...

when has a year of boxing been so good?

Mayweather v. DeLahoya
Cotto v. Judah

the final year of Morales' career

Hopkins v Winky and Pavlik coming out KO'ing Miranda....

Pavlik v. Taylor not on PPV!
Calzaghe v. Kessler not on PPV!

Pac v. bererra rematch!
Cotto Mosely!
Mayweather Hatton!
