View Full Version : Building muscle without enhancers
steptwome 09-30-2007, 04:34 PM The Obsession with obtaining size is evident with individuals going to extremes to accomplish the impossible. Spending countless dollars on commercialized products that hardly seem to work becomes redundant. If you are looking to maximize size Progressively, then alternate your workouts. try mixing calesthenics and weights. Try one week weights , one week calesthenics, then 2 days weights, two days calesthenics. Mix it up. Trust me you will see results. The common mistake individuals often make is that their workout regiment becomes too routine. Routine workouts tend to get boring, ultimately leading to dissapointment, as with anthing else you have to make the experience enjoyable. If growth is what you seek, then you have to stimulate ("trick", "shock") your muscles for maximum results. Try doing this for one month, trust you will see results.
ForemanCrossArm 10-03-2007, 03:45 PM ok. if you aren't popping at least a little creatine and taking a protein shake with added aminos then your nuts. they both work. screw everything else. just use those two, and a good routine and your set.
GrizzleBoy 10-03-2007, 04:04 PM Do you really need those things if youre just looking to gain moderate muscle mass? Or even just so youre not burning your muscles away if youre doing a lot of cardio?

u dont need creatine. its possible to gain muscle without creatine. u need diet, and thats the only thing u need besides a routine. i drink a protein shake myself, but its not like you absolutely need to...

#1. the term all natural in fitness refers to not taking any hormones, not supplements.
#2. supplements are just fine. they are an addition to an already stable diet and workout regimine, not a replacement.
#3. the man in your sig is HARDLY all natural.

i was able to do those in high school when i was wrestling. i could only do 4 before my arms gave out. its one of the hardest things someone can do, IMO. it drains ur muscles so badly and so fast its crazy.
Tuggers1986 10-04-2007, 08:49 AM Only people who have already made good gains will need to change up their training like that to shock their muscles into new growth. Most people starting out will be fine with just general basic lifting techniques. Anybody already past that who feels they are at a plateau can try things like negatives, burn outs or super sets to shock their muscles into new growth.
As for not taking suppliments..Protein is basically the building blocks for muscle growth, repair and recovery so why anybody into lifting wouldn't want to take in as much protein as that can is beyond me. I've been using Maximuscles Cyclone (www.maximuscle.com/cyclone/products) for about 6 weeks now and the difference i've seen in myself has been amazing.

That guy has proper build IMO. Not too massive. He looks like sprinter (he has other instructional youtubes) or middle weight boxer. Excellent shape without losing stamina and sacrificing speed.
