Well for starters, you said 'looked at them' and it's not about what they look like but what music they make. Many people say they are Emo and some people call them a punk band. I don't define their music to a genre. IMO they make good music and the lead singer is hot.

I have a lot of Emo friends(doesn't mean I'm one) and they all hate being labelled as Emo's. So do the bands that they listen to My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy etc. Emo is only used by the music industry and it's caught on and being now used by ignorant people.
