my coach tonight came up with the name speedball finger because we were both on the speed ball and we bot cut our knuckes open on the wood above. because the the speedball is set up on the wall for short arses. its 2 weeks in a row iv cut my knuckels open on it, on both hands lol.

If Both you and your "coach" are hitting the rebound board up above the bag, then you both need to learn how to swing and punch the speed ball properly. To hit the board like that you have to be raising your hands up way too high, probably punching in giant up and down circles.

Adjust the bag to put the "belly" (fatest part) at your mouth, and make that the highest part of your fist movement. Punch directly into the bag belly, not "down" onto it. The board should be well above your hands.

no its because the speed ball is way to low for us. it needs to be raised higer.

i had that same problem on the speed bag but it only happens when im working like uppercuts and hooks on it and i miss and hit the platform. if ur working the bag the traditional way, it shouldnt happen. tell ur coach to raise that **** so u stop cuttin ur knuckles, u need them!! :boxing:

yea u can. u pin the ball to the platform and hit it with uppercuts while its pinned against the platform, with hooks you jus let it swing around and hit it while its coming at you in either direction. u never heard of that before?
