Boxers take a sustained beating over many rounds. MMA fighters get hit in the head far less and KOs often occur much quicker when they do occur. I went to an event once that featured both MMA and toughman style boxing. On this occasion it was boxing that ended up looking like the far more brutal sport.

However, when you include things like stomps and soccer kicks, I'd say MMA is pretty brutal on the brain.

I've got a budy from thereneck of the woods.. hes got friends that train with them. He recently had his own first fight, was utterly dominating when he got caught in a choke... wasnt able to keep from giving his back.

James Schumack.. we just graduated from the same program at my former college (international economics).

His fight was amateur though so i dont know if there's record or not. Havent talked to him in a bit as i'm out of the country, but he was still training hard last i knew.

Dana has brought this sport so far. Now instead of hoping that my Satillite company will carry the PPVs, I get to watch whole events on basic cable, and now get to see the greatest fighters from both the main MMA companys fight for unification.....

Yeah, but the guy's still a ****ing scumbag. This is like the debate over whether done king is good for boxing. He may make big fights, but he also ****s around far too much. Kinda like the UFC, though the comparison is not the greatest, i admit (cant think of a better example).
