Tito was at the WEC tonight, as was Chuck Lidell. In between one of the fights, Chuck was called into the ring and asked about his future in the UFC. He responded by saying that he WAS GOING TO FIGHT in June, and he would be fighting Tito if he would sign and give him the fight, but he would fight regardless. While this is going on, the crowd is going NUTSY and Tito, who was in the front row, was facing away from Chuck not even looking at him.

After Chuck was finished, they announced that Goldberg was there also and he came in the ring. Goldberg talked about liking MMA, how it inspired his PW style, how he would be back wrestling this Monday on TNN, ect, ect. During Goldberg's speech, Tito was watching Goldberg and Tito ran and hopped over the cage fence into the ring and hugged/greeted Goldberg and whatnot. Since Goldberg was about done, Ryan Bennett then turned his attention to Tito.

Ryan asked Tito about fighting in the UFC and when he would be back and whatnot and Tito had the following to say....

Tito said he would like to fight in June, but it is up to the UFC. He then said whoever he fights is going to get beat down and come out with loss, be it Chuck Lidell, Vitor Belfort, or whoever they put him in with will come out with a loss. He then went to say he wasn't in any rush though and that he had to be paid right to fight, and that, and I quote, "BOXERS MAKE MILLIONS. I WANT MONEY LIKE THAT", and then something like(not quoting this part due to his strange wording and not wanting to get it wrong) "I WANT MILLION TYPE MONEY."

BOOOOS ERUPTED FROM EVERYWHERE AND THE PLACE WAS BOOOING TITO LIKE CRAZY!!....and Chuck got back up from his seat, and charged back into the ring looking REAL PISSED.

Chuck grabbed the mic, and went on to say how Tito has now said twice publically that he will beat his(Chucks) ass, and he was sick of it and it was pissing him off, and for him to just sign the fight and get it on.(or something to that effect)

The place once again went NUTS, and the whole place was chanting CHUCK, CHUCK, CHUCK!!!

CHUCK CHUCK CHUCK!!!!!

Edit* I don't believe Tito when he says it's up to the UFC, I think we'd see the fight a lot sooner if it was. He's probably refferring that it's up to the UFC to pay him what he wants before he fights or something.

Tito is just hoping that Chuck loses his next fight so he can use the "he is not the #1 contender anymore" excuse. I am almost sure that Chuck's next fight won't be against Tito.

If this is true, then yes.....Tito is ducking Chuck.

I am sorry, but the sport isn't big enough for a million dollar payday yet.

Maybe in the middle 6 figures, but not 7.

If it's true??? I stole this from someone on the UG who was at the show last night and witnessed Tito say these things. I'm sure Kaps will be able to confirm.

**** Tito, he's not big enough, and the sport of MMA is not big enough in the USA to be supporting million dollar pay days. If he want's big money, give up the UFC title and take your ass to Pride. I'd have no problem if that's what he did. If you want the UFC title, defend it against the #1 contender or lose the title.

If it was anyone but Tito they would have striped him of the belt and gone tournament....*See Jens Pulver.......I hope that Chuck fights the winner of the Silva vs Jackson fight and leaves Zuffa entertainment high and dry. I don't buy that Dana is to blame here. This would be the biggest fight of the year. The PPVs would be through the roof.

If the fight doesn't happen soon I will start a Tito boycott. He may or may not realize it, but he is setting the sport of mma in America back by not taking this fight.

I bet Chuck would fight him for $1000.00 just to get a shot at the belt, that's why you gotta love Chuck.

I bet Chuck would fight Tito for a milkshake. I don't think this is about money for him. I'm sick to death of ****ing Tito's bull****. I wish that they would just strip Tito of the title and give it to the real UFC LH champ.

funny how tito is all gung ho to fight a washed up ken shamrock but is full of excuses when it comes to defending his title against real challenge.

If Tito wants boxer money he should go be a boxer where he'll get KTFO first time he steps up. .

I have always been a fan of Ortiz, but this is starting to get out of hand. Fight him for a few hundrend grand. Thats a HUGE amount of money in MMA today.

Chuck deserves a shot. He has beaten the likes of Randleman, Belfort, Mezger, Sobral and Bustamante.

Who else can claim to of beaten a list like that? Only one other person has beaten that level of talent, and he IS a champion in the UFC. Chuck deserves a shot. Tito needs to give it to him

I'm with you Creed. I'm a huge fan of Team Punishment-I know-but Tito needs to stop talking out of his ass.

if UFC was in anyway fair, they would say fight vhuvk at ufc 42/43 or lose the belt. if he does lose the belt, there should be a tournament to see who fights chuck in a title match.
