I am having second thoughts over if I wanna be a para, the doar window opens tomrrow then i have till week 12 to decide, basically if i stay on I'll be backsquadded to Tamera Platoon who are 2 weeks behind, I've been out for 2 weeks and will be out for atleast another week. I love the PT side of training but it just the other parts of army training that hack me off, anyways I'm back in Edinburgh for the night so I'll chill out and talk things over with the family

Surely you must have expected being screamed at and doing completely pointless tasks/exercises over and over and over again for no ****ing reason. Which parts are pissing you off?

I'm getting what I expected mate, its just I'm not coping with It as well as I thought I could, just all the little things keeping everything tidy, ironing and drill gets me frustarted cause I seem to be making mistakes on them left right and centre, things aint exactly sparkling back home either. I feel as though I've lost my drive and you need that to pass para training

Pleased for ya mickey, it's weird when your team is doing ****, sometimes everything seems ****, I should know I'm a spurs fan. I've had it for the last 20 years, build your hopes up and when everything seems rosy the cunts let you down.

Jimmythegent - Not had the privelage of speaking to ya, as I'm fairly new round these ere parts, but from what i've read hope you make the right choices for yourself and everything works out for ya. Good luck mate.

Hey Jim.

Yeah, i've never been in the forces or anything like it. But me dad has.. and he's only 18 years older than me... so its not as if he was a soldier centuries ago..

He said he used to get pissed off with that kind of thing. He says stuff like "They'd make me wash and iron my kit perfectly, then make us put it on and make us crawl through ****ing mud".

Is the mistakes thing just as a way of picking on you? Like...it'll never be good enough and they'll always find a way?.

Just keep at it Jim. Just be brave pal, i bet you'll regret it if you pull out.

As for the home stuff, i hope it turns out dandy again.
