The core of this article is 'injustice'. So it's injust for known bums to try their luck and then subsequently get demolished against better fighters? I see no coercion of any kind.

the point is this. these people have no other way to earn money and would agree to fight anyone becasue of financial difficulties it is unjust for people to take advantage of their poverty feeding them to the lions as some might say for monetary gain for themselves. its kinda like fight or you dont eat. you have never seen poverty in the PI so please reserve your judgment for something you personally know or have seen with your own two eyes.

agreed to this two years ago.

Rick, or BPP for that matter, seriously guys does this help your site in any way? Ronnie is just making your site look bad with his repetitive, and biased articles. Not to mention very degrading to the nation intself. This is starting to go beyond boxing.

Star writer? Writer maybe but adding star would so much exxagerating. Besides, do you really need to keep him just because he is also a writer for Philboxing? Or is he the cheapest person you can get to cover the Philippines?

bro, it has well been exposed, well documented and have been an issue for months. GAB should really not be the lone entity to be blamed, or to blame at all. They give the licenses for these boxers in good faith. Mismatches are the fault of promoters and match makers. Let's not blame the government once more.

opportunity to travel across other country's borders LEGALLY and better pay than fighting in their home country. That's how I see it.

Sincerely this is the most obvious and poorly written piece of overheated propaganda passed of as journalism I've seen in quite some time. If the guy cannot maintain some modicum of objecitvity he should not be a part of the writing staff of boxing scene.

I have seen it. As well as gross mismatches.

Please stop writing your racially motivated tripe in the guise of genuine sports journalism and go back to hacking at philiboxing or whatever.

Stupid promoters!!!
It's the promoters' fault why this is happenning, they are the ones who are killing their own boxers for money. I pity those Filipino boxers, they are the ones who are being put in the middle. Once their promoter would agree with the match, those poor boxers can't turn their back.

If you are intelligent enough to look at their records then you will be able to identify the mismatches. Looking at your sig, I see how you are very knowledgeable regarding your countrymen defeating filipinos. Could you also please put in there the longer list of filipinos who knocked mexican's assessss...
