i loved the commercial for the fight with matt hughes, when GSP said with his thick french canadian accent " in de first figth i give matt hughes too much respect, i can knock him out, i can submit im, i will unt im"

and after he talked, he backed his **** up

GSP gets more love in America then alot of American fighters. Great champion, humble fighter, and is one hell of an athlete. Even his bad fights are exciting.

I respect the mans ability. However i don't think its right to state that Serra got lucky. In a fight theres no such thing as a lucky punch. I think we should all give credit where credit is due.

say whaaaaaaat, some people get lucky punches in, so yeah there is such thing.
I will use Pete Sell vs Scott Smith for example, in my eyes that was lucky. Matt Serra on the other hand got in more than 1 punch so you cant really call that a lucky punch, he just outboxed St Pierre.

If you throw a punch, you expect it to land and hurt a person. So there really is no "lucky" punches. That said, St. Peezy beats Serra 9/10 times...

The video has to do with a lucky punch, dont take a rocket scientist to realize that, maybe even robot monkey knew why i put that up and u cant:SS:wtf1: Scott Smith was pretty much finished and hurt holding his stomach like a lil ***** after pete jabbed him. Then he threw a punch for his last resort and he probably didnt expect to connect but he did and for that he won, now that is lucky...and Damn True! (kurt angle):D

I don't see how if you throw a punch and it lands its concidered lucky. His intent with that punch was to hurt Pete, the punch landed and Pete went down. How is that lucky?

SCOTT SMITH WAS PRETTY MUCH FINISHED HOLDING HIS STOMACH, THEN HE THROWS THIS (LUCKY) PUNCH AS A LAST RESORT TO TRY TO KEEP HIS OPPONENT AWAY FROM HIM THEN TO HIS SURPRISE HE ACTUALLY CONNECTS AND WINS THE FIGHT...NOW DONT THAT SOUND LUCKY TO YOU??????? now read that and......:bryce: :buttkick: hate repeating myself to retards...dont ask again and drop it punk.

What the **** are you talking about? What's the point in throwing a punch? To hit someone right? So if you throw a punch and it hits the person, it did what it was supposed to right? Where is luck involved? Answer the questions or shut the **** up...

I agree, I hate when people say "Lucky Punch" The man threw a punch for the purpose of ****ing you up. Lucky headbutt well thats another story.

It's lucky when you have your eyes closed and your are backpedaling. It's not lucky when you throw it with intention and commitment. People play the lottery to win, but they cannot create the outcome. They pick the numbers, but when they win it is luck.

To the guys arguing about the whole lucky punch thing. Think about this... u train your ass off face a guy that no-one thinks you can beat... you knock the guy the **** out and everyone tells you that you got luck... the guy slipped on a banana or had too much sex during training or whatever excuse GSP used. How would you feel?? All im saying is Matt Serra did what he had to do and the man has earned the credit a champion deserves.

on paper it seems like a huge mismatch but when you think about it Serra has a really good chance actually. Hughes came nowhere near close to finishing Lytle all he was really able to do was control him position wise, with Serra's Bjj i think he will be more active off his back than Lytle. Also i feel that Serra has the striking advantage unless Hughes lays there and dry humps Serra i think we might see an upset. Something is telling me that Hughes ego is gonna make him think he can stand and exchange with Serra in which case will be all the better for M.S.
