Duane "BANG" Ludwig Speaks On His UFC Deal
Published by John Hartnett on 03/23/2003 at 08:15 PM
MMANews.com's own John Hartnett recently contacted explosive Lightweight Duane "BANG" Ludwig for confirmation on rumors of him fighting at UFC 42 in Miami against another exciting Lightweight Genki Sudo. Ludwig said it's a done deal and he will be in Miami on April 25th fighting in his first UFC.
In regards to his deal with UFC, Ludwig told MMANews.com, "Well, the offer I got from UFC is good. I do wish I would have an opponent where I can better showcase my striking because with Genki [Sudo] it's going to be hard because he's so unorthodox. The timing is good right now, so I'll guess we'll have to see what happens."
How many fights did he sign on to take with the Ultimate Fighting Championship? "It's just a one-fight deal."
Since it's only a one-fight deal, here's what Duane Ludwig told MMANews.com in regards to coming back under another deal to continue fighting if he gets passed Sudo at UFC 42, "We'll see what happens. I don't know if I beat him if they'll want me back there. It's just a one-fight deal. It's in their hands after that. But yeah, I plan on sticking more with mixed-martial arts now."
