Tanner Rhoden 03-24-2003, 08:51 AM Damn....Fernando loses another one. I can't believe this.
DOGGx0 03-24-2003, 06:56 PM it was a good show. Timothy Mendoza and one of ours boys... Raul Delgado... o man... they put on a great match. Timothy is like a little over 300lbs and Raul is only 215. These 2 were exchanging blows, and both VERY winded (at the end), just throwing blow for blow face shots. Just stomping around. Both of them did very well and were VERY aggressive the whole time. The draw was agreed upon by the crowd; a very good descision by the judges.
Art Santore and Joe Garcia put on a kick ass show as well. Art always comming out with his pachuco music, (lol) won again, however Garcia put up a hell of a fight and at times had me thinking that he ould have pulled it off with Santore.
The Ortiz brothers both came out with a large antarage(however it is spelled). David lost a little quick; Jablonski came out hella strong and it seemed like it was a little too much for David. Daniel on the other hand, overpowered mentally and phsyically Mike Cordova. With a flury of punches every minute or 2 comming from Daniel.. it was destined for him to win that match.
John Cole and Solis put on an awesome match too. I personally saw Solis winning, but Cole did have his share of hand outs. I would'nt say that Solis deserves the descision ONLY because Cole did appear to have more control being that he was in Richard's guard the whole time.
Sos and House put on a great show.....Jason Lambert and Beecher, Bonella, Vascosales, Thadarius Thomas..... all of the guys all put on great shows. Some slower than others, but hey... not everyone can just rush out there and KO someone quick, and sometimes it just gets a little tiring. In any case, all of these guys did great... unfortunaltely there were no crazy 1 hit KOs, but there were some very good matches.
Curly Howard 03-24-2003, 09:40 PM Sounds like it was a great fight. Did you get any inside scoop on any upcoming fights?
Tanner Rhoden 03-25-2003, 09:08 AM Adam, you were there?
DOGGx0 03-25-2003, 01:28 PM Curly- yea, a little. I know Chad Washburn is gonna be fighting in June. Travis Wright will be fighting in September. Other than that, I can tell you that alot of the guys that just fought will be in some upcoming shows. I will find out more soon.
Tanner- i was there, sitting right in front of the cage in the first row/ ringside..

i was invited last minute coz one of our guys was fighting. i guess i could do a write up, but i was not able to take pics... i did'nt have a seat or anything pre-set for me as press like the rest of them did. washburn mentioned your name and talked breifly about globalmma to a fellow named terry that you 2 know.... dunno, maybe you should give terry a call and see whats up on us covering future events.
Curly Howard 03-25-2003, 11:29 PM Terry Treblecock?
DOGGx0 03-26-2003, 01:54 AM rings a bell.
ummm... yea i am preaty sure thats him.
Curly Howard 03-26-2003, 01:57 AM yay
He's the promoter, you should've talked to him about a globalmma.com banner @ the next show or something. Come on Dogg, market, exposure, that's the key to success.
DOGGx0 03-26-2003, 02:14 AM i was busy shithead. i just overheard some shit. i am not the kinda person that jumps up in people's conversations and while people are running around trying to get a show started on time w/in an hour before the fights. i ain't tryin to bother them with my marketing. My homie got us covered. He talked to him about us, and we should be covering the next show. I know Tanner has mentioned the site to him and we were lookin at doin some favors. dunno. In any case bro, I was setting up some of the front row seating with my bro, talkin with some people, and eating so stfu.
i tried to get us to cover this event, but we were too late, the press seats were all spoken for and it was just too late of a notice. I found out Friday night that i was going and the fight was Sunday. its all good. we'll get in on the next one.
Tanner Rhoden 03-26-2003, 09:16 AM I think it costs a good deal to put up a banner at a KOTC.
I'll get us in the next one at the Saboba for sure.....also, have Chad speak to Terry or Bud Brutsman ahead of time about getting us one press pass.
DOGGx0 03-26-2003, 02:23 PM i think the banners there at KOTC are alot of duckits. I mean aside from having the banners, they actually throw your name around on the big scantron too.
Tanner- will do bro. I will talk to Chad today and ask him to talk to them and put in a word for us before you call them.
Tanner Rhoden 03-26-2003, 02:27 PM Chad has WAY more pull there than I do.
DOGGx0 03-26-2003, 02:33 PM well they mentioned us (global), not being that big yet, but having potential and yada yada yada. Maybe after you cover UFC next month and WEC, then Chad will have ammo for them. He can get us in, I just would like to shine in their eyes so they can also not just get us passes but mention us to the public/ friends just because we are a kick ass site. Chad is workin on it though. When I asked him this last weekend... he just jumped on his cell and called Terry right there. I will tell him that it is imperetive that he gets us press passes. I also want to wait for the main page to change before so they have something spectacular to look at.
Tanner Rhoden 03-26-2003, 02:40 PM I hear you.....as far as the press pass goes, we'll only need one, right? For you to take pictures.
DOGGx0 03-26-2003, 03:07 PM coorect. i was actually thinking of having dave do it coz he is real good with the camera. we'll see.
Ralphage 03-27-2003, 04:38 PM Yeah!! I'm glad Art won again. He'll be a champ in no time. Was Dan Henderson in Art's corner?
