Ok, so I've posted a couple times here about my diet and you guys have been a great help to my weight loss progresion while staying healthy... This time I'm a little confused about sodium and sugar in fruits/veggies. There is a lot of sodium in veggies... but is it a kind of "good" sodium? Same with fruits... "good" sugar? I'm just looking at straight numbers on this nutritional fact website: http://www.calorie-count.com/ and I'm getting a little freaked out... it's like I'm not safe eatting ANYTHING.

By the way... I've been having a LOT of trouble finding anything to eat at restaraunts save for the blessed grilled chicken salad... no dressing. Any of you have any suggestions so I can eat healthy, cut weight, and still be able to go out for food?

Fresh vegtables contain little to no sodium,as for the sugar in fruit just keep it preworkout. Carbs are fuel for the body,no point in fueling a car your not gonna drive.

Floydfan is correct. There is little sodium in fresh vegetables. Vegetables in a can are the ones with sodium. If you are looking for pre-packaged vegetables with less salt check out Steamfresh vegetables in a bag that you throw into the microwave. You should try to eat fresh vegetables as often as possible though.
Don’t worry about the sugar, and carbs in fruit. As long as the carbs contain fiber your body is getting what it needs. If you are worried about too much sugar in your diet from fruit just eat more vegetables, and less fruit. Please notice I said, “less fruit” not “no fruit”. Another option for burning carbs is to turn yourself into a cardio machine.

I am on a diet also and am going threw the same stuff you are. I once thought you cold eat any fruit and Veg because it had 0 FAT! I was wrong. This is how I eat and I've already lost 27 pounds and started my diet on August. I don't eat anything in the morning I usually eat at 2:00. I make whole corn in the oven and grilled chicken breasts on my Foreman Grill. About 1 Chicken Breast and 2 Corns. Sometimes I'll make my Spanish Food Rice and Beans WITHOUT OIL. I'll sometimes eat WHOLE WHEAT BREAD with grill chicken and tomatoes with mustard. BTW I stopped drinking fat free milk because all the sugar it has. If your good at seasoning then you'll enjoy this. I went from 282 to 255 I am not satisfied I plan on hitting 200 which won't be hard at my paste. BTW I don't work out much LOL I eat 1-2 of the meals I mention a day. I'm like seriously killing myself but all worth it.

I think you pretty much are killing yourself, it would be more advisable to eat at least 3 smaller meals a day than just two and skip breakfast. Instroduce some running each morning before breakfast so your metabolism gets going faster in the morning. If you starve yourself your body stops producing the enzyme that breaks down fat, so you will platue. Better to eat a little more and workout than to just eat nothing all day which is not good at all for you. (Your meals though are healthy, just will not provide the nutrients and vitamins your body needs for healthy functioning)

Well unless you eat out on a constant basis... then just treat that one time eating out as something of an reward (a cheat meal). However, depends on what restaraunts you go to, I'd say just stick to the small entree dishes or some soup (try to get more cleared soup and not creamy soup I guess). Most restaraunts nowdays should have salads and such.

El Dominicano, Sounds like you're doin pretty well! I'd agree with Salty and Your Moms. The reason you should be eatting more meals a day with smaller portions is to raise your metabolism. Your body becomes used to a more constant and steady food intake. As a result, it works harder to burn food more constant and more steady. If you really wanna see some results AND FAST. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN as much as you can! But if you never ran before... I'd suggest starting with just light jogging to start getting used to the whole running thing. Then after 1 or 2 times go ahead and push yourself.. that's where it all begins!
